If half those didn't duck him outright.
So hate all you want, the guy fights 4 times a year against anyone who will fight him. why would he be afraid of Andre Ward? Losing a boring 12 round decision won't kill his career. Ward is a nobody to be honest, casuals don't even know who he is.
And come on, do you hate Sergio?, you want to see him seriously hurt?. Because in all honesty, if the post Chavez jr version of Sergio came to me saying "I want to fight GGG" , as a human being, I'd have advised him against that.
That leaves Sturm and Quillin, which would make his resume look better, but nothing to really write home about.
Ward, on the other hand, would be a huge win for GGG's resume.

I just don't think there's any reason it couldn't happen aside from subjective views from the fans.
Golovkin can't do much, he can move to 168 and beat Ward and become great, I agree. But his team doesn't want to do that, the fans can't make it happen, and we're enjoying the entertaining ride to Undisputed MW Champion regardless of resume because he's entertaining.
There's nothing more I can say because GGG's career isn't going anywhere than the direction its already headed. If they suddenly announce Golovkin-Ward, DeGale, or even Groves then that's a great step. I hope they make that choice.
As of right now the only things I see happening to GGG in the following two years in the best of situations:
WBC stays true and enacts Golovkin's interim WBC belt status as a right to fight for the title.
Then he fights for the WBO, becomes Undisputed.
From there maybe 3-5 defenses within another year or two and then he might move up to 168.

I mean Ward vs GGG is one of the most obvious fights of all time.
So many greats moved up just sucks that Golovkin refuses.

Presumably would be HBO / Sky sports joint PPV also.
Cracking fight and 50/50 if Groves looks good against Jack.
