Paul Smith is bad, but surely you don't find the pathetic resume of journeymen from 2013 to 2015 of Ronald Barrera, Francisco Rodriguez Jr, Oscar Blanquet, Juan Kantun, Juan Purisima, Akira Yaegashi, Rocky Fuentes, Velntin Leon, and Edgar Sosa impressive do you? Enough to catapult Gonzalez from not ranked in the top 10 at all in 2013 to being ranked #2 in 2015 after that garbage resume?
I don't rank Gonzalez has p4p no. 2 or even close to it but there is no denying he is a top 10 fighter and that resume you listed, cmon man, if you think guys like Yaegashi are journeymen then you should be done with boxing. It'd be fair to say that he was possibly too small for Roman but a journeyman?

I wrestled with the idea of Uchiyama being in my top 10, at one stage I rated him as a possible top 10 kind of guy but he just hasn't had the step up in class over the last 2-3 years that I was hoping for. Now that he's 30 odd, I just don't know where he is heading with his career.

        lol

Well, I posted a thread some time ago about how ****** p4p lists are...when done by magazines and tv channels but I wanted to have a look at what guys on here thought about the top 10 or 20 guys in boxing and in all honesty, most of the same names appear on almost every list. The order differs but it's pretty clear that we don't need sanctioning bodies telling us what we already know.

Plus, you can't paint every fighter with the same brush, Froch didn't duck anyone, Kovalev has had a string of top level opponents, Wlad has all but cleared out the division and guys like Frampton, Quigg, Gonzalez, GGG and a few others are starting to look for the best available opponents.
