Most lists have included about the 7 or 8 same names (Floyd, Pac, Kov, GGG, Wlad, Roman etc), so there is some definite consistency. Then there are names like Cotto, Alvarez, Bradley that get added in.

I understand what you're saying here but we can't be entirely hypothetical, yes Ward is skilled and in 2012, he showed us why he was p4p but now, 3 years late, what has he really shown us? That he goes many rounds with Paul Smith? Is that enough of a gauge to say that he'd be brilliant and beat other guys, especially someone like Kovalev who is his natural rival. Would he even look good against DeGale in 2015?
