Mayorga actually did fight and lose to some great fighter. He surprised a few fighters too, like Vernon Forrest.

      Cotto did fight everyone.

Some of his wins being shut down are just a product of "The Hindsight Bias".

Underdog against Martinez, but after winning by TKO, "Yeah, we knew."

      Link: Wiki.
Hindsight bias, also known as the knew-it-all-along effect or creeping determinism, is the inclination, after an event has occurred, to see the event as having been predictable, despite there having been little or no objective basis for predicting it.

The hindsight bias is the most common human behavior in boxing. Just about every fighter is a victim of this effect.

duran beat greats like esteban de jesus, pipino cuevas, ray leonard.

he was a LW great losing to WW, JMW, MW's.

cotto has no such wins and he was a WW losing to FW, LW.
De Jesus beat him too didn't he?? Lol Anyway all I'm saying is a lot of good fighters lose to other good fighters. No point in going so hard to slay anybody here. Leave Cotto alone bro.

hoya "ran" from one of the hardest hitting welterweights of all time when he thought he was ahead.

cotto ran from a blown up featherweight when he was behind and knew he had to win rounds.

This thread is amusing and while some of its true, cotto has had a great career and been in some great fights. I don't think I've ever seen him in a bad fight, ever. He fought margarito twice which took a lot of balls and would have been a nightmare psychologically for most people. Sure he's passed it now and very annoying but he had an excellent career. Not de la Hoya, Trinidad level, but great nonetheless.

Don't "ran" me bro!! Hoya literally got on his ****ing mongoose and ran. That **** was horrible. That fight was like May-Pac back in '99. Imagine Floyd running the way Oscar did........ So you're slaying the guy who fought tough for 6 rds, got knocked down twice and ran to survive and excusing the one that thought he was ahead and ran/sprinted to preserve victory in a mega fight?? Come one bro...... And u keep on saying a "blown featherweight" like as if Manny was some lil punk that wasn't ****ing up everyone at 147 except for Floyd at that time.

                    Oscar won the 12th round.

esteban beat him once, duran beat him twice.

good fighters lose to other good fighters.

great fighters rarely lose to good fighters unless there's some age/weight disparity.

cotto, margarito, trout are good fighters.

dejesus, duran are great fighters. there's a difference.
