If there is NO current "Super" champion, you get elevated to that status from "regular" to "super".

That's my fault... I should have added that they get elevated to "Super" champ with a couple of defenses of the "Regular" title. But if there's already a "Super" champ, they can not get elevated from "Regular".

No, its not automatic. Even though the WBA is corrupt and abuses the super status, not every division has a super champ. 5-10 years ago only a few divisions had super champs. Originally it was meant for champs with 10+ defenses, or unified champs.

I'm looking forward to the next two years though, it's lookin like it could be heating up for GGG. Lemieux now, plus other opportunities to unify, plus the possibility of Ward at some point ().

WBA "Super" World defenses does count.

I don't count the WBA "Regular" title as a legit defense.

Hopkins record was with LEGIT title defenses.
