Lol, pretty much what I was thinking...

and let's be honest, if we speak about top level fighters I'd like to see what happens if one of these keyboard warriors was to piss Rigo off ...even in sparring...wearing headgear!.

Let alone being hit in the face with 8oz gloves by guys like Maidana

Back to topic, Floyd is not even a clincher or too much of a mover.

If one really wants to criticize Floyd then it'd be much more realistic to say that he relied too much on counterpunching alone in the second part of his carreer.
One can say that he shot off his offense, that he stopped moving in and out and throw combos. That he is content to win rounds and doesn't take risks.

But before one criticizes a professional boxer for not getting hit at will, they should spar a few rounds with a top fighter, even a 126lbs guy, then we talk again

This is back when I was a Floyd fan. I stopped liking him when he became his own Boss and stopped fighting the fights that mattered. He could've became a true ATG when that happened but he chose money and fame over glory. So, when I rate past greats over him, it's because he chose money over glory. He is his own worse enemy. On September 12th, his image and resume will take another well-deserved blow. While he is SUPER RICH, that will not matter when it comes time to rank him amongst other Legends, HOF'mers, and ATG's.

When Floyd started relying on his counterpunching and defense he wasn't quite as exciting he sure did make look easier though

              sweet science!

If Floyd's style is so great and all.. maybe they should start paying Olympic fighters.. since it's the same approach.. fight for points.. not excitement..

              a duck is a duck,
              a rat is a rat,
              a dog is a dog,
              too defensive is too defensive..
              got it? good!!

I laced them up too and there's nothing you can do with you're not fast enough, skilled enough when a fast guy like mayweather moves constant and pot shots.. NOTHING! It takes too long to set your shots or position yourself for him not to snipe you once and call it a round.. long gone the day s when the aggressor would get credit for making a fight somewhat entertaining..

I don't think people realise what combat is like. You're using a sword, hit and don't get hit; you're using a mace, hit and don't get hit; you're using a gun, hit and don't get hit; you're using your fist, hit and don't get hit. It's not a given that you will endure the attack coming your way, so it is in your best interest to go for efficiency.

It's somewhat ridiculous that a guy like Mayorga will get praised for jeering his opponent to tee off on him. What was the end result? Dropping to a well placed body shot and pretending it was low.

he's right and if your opponent does manage to hit you make sure he's wearing pillow gloves. if your opponent is trying to hit you just clinch or bend below the waist so he can't hit you duh it's the sweet science. these other guys who follow the rules are schmucks. floyd shouldn't have to follow the rules because getting hit is bad for his health.

Um correct me if im wrong, but wasnt Baldomir a lineal champion? You guys would've claimed he was ducking baldomir if he hadnt dethroned him.
