    As for Ward

Ward is hardly active and I don't think draws much. There would have to be some incentive perhaps weight and $$$ To fight him. He's got his deck stacked right now with a few potential opponents.. Clean out the division first then maybe..

Isn't he now 31? This is no time to be wasting prime years fighting tune ups otherwise he won't be HW champ until he is 35/36 at the earliest!
Yea, you're right. I was being sarcastic, making fun of Sanchez latest excuse to avoid Ward..... when we KO Ward, nobody will fight us.

But letting Ward borrow that excuse sounded even more ******ed

I really like watching Golovkin - but I can't argue with what you say. It's like Golovkin passes the eye test. He is totally destroying B class fighters such as Geale and Murray - therefore, the reasoning goes, he must be A class or even A+ class. Same thing happened to Broner. That doesn't mean Golovkin is another Broner but it does call into question the way the Ring's panel rates pound for pound fighters.

At least in Kolovkin's case you can make the argument that he has beaten Pascal and BHop although when he met them they were well past sell by date. Just wait - Beterbiev and then Kudryashov will soon be lb4lb - then you'll be really frustrated.

All he does is duck and dodge elite fighters in their primes. Watch him chase 40-year old WWs and blown-up JMWs for the rest of his career. Best middleweight my ass. More like best businessman.

Finally you say something nice about him

The guy is very frustrated. Wonder who he thinks the best MW is, and why he wants him ducking GGG.

A fighters' business must make as much as they can in usually less than 10 years and that business, almost assuredly their only shot, is permanently closed. I do agree that Golovkin does his business no good fighting a very difficult and tactical Ward or a tricky, slick, and great southpaw like Lara. He very well may lose to Ward and look bad/ordinary in a win against Lara. Like the Canelo/Lara fight. Fighters have to think business first and this brings them to maneuvering towards and away from certain fights/styles.
It's just about leverage. Once you get some you want to keep it and maximise it. That is the case with Golovkin. Other fighters are delusional and believe they have more leverage than they do based on past glories (Ward, Khan) or have leverage (Market value) they never really had (Andrade).

I love when folks mention this ****** shhh like everyone else has as short a memory as them. One talks and talks and talks, the other walked away when the network offered him the fight.

You can't duck fighters not willing to fight. Lara is a Jr. MW, and no way his promoter allows him to fight GGG.

Not to mention why would GGG care about Lara when he is after MW belts?

As for Ward, dude is a LHW who hasn't fought a good fighter in years. Even then, he could have come down to 164. Oh that's draining him you say. Ward did the same thing to Dawson. GGG gave him a better deal.

Neither Ward or Lara make sense for GGG. Both a runners who bring little to the table.

                  Say GGG beats Lara:

The haters will say he was too small.

No money, and Lara is a runner.

Very little upside, besides the obvious roadblocks.

                  Say GGG beats Ward:

                  Again no money.

At 168, Ward would weigh a good 185-190 rehydrated. A lot of risk for no belt, no money, and frankly little from fans.

And right now GGG wants to stay making MW or lower, so a Ward fight now would mean he won't put on pounds. More risk, no reward.

And for GGG first fight outside the MW, you think he should jump in with a guy who just fought at 172, and walks around at 180 (self proclaimed).

Canelo is bigger than GGG, why doesn't he fight Ward. Heck, why doesn't he fight a MW, since he is fighting for the MW belt.

The haters would say Ward isn't the same fighter he once was.

This idea that GGG is ducking Ward or Lara is a trumped up charge from fans scared to see their favorite fighters fight the true MW beast. Cotto is a MW champion, has never fought at 160. Damn joke.

Canelo is a true MW who has skated by fighting Jr. MW.

But oh no, God forbid GGG get a shot at people who are fighting to be MW champion.

Let Ward fix his career before he worries about GGG.

u out of your mind? if ggg beat ward he would be considered the p4p king once mayweather retires. there is no person ggg could beat that would do more for his legacy at all then andre ward not canelo cotto none of them dont be ridiculous. and considering canelo and cotto are same size as lara belt or not that argument dont really hold water either
