Loma is now a professional, he should have a plan for his future.

That plan should not include weight-hopping on demand.

Loma is not the bigger man, he weighs 126.

Gamboa needs to make a similar plan, and the first part of that plan should determine what division Gamboa will settle on.
what??...ask yourself wat can TR offer him at 126? NOT A DAMN THING! he's hoping that he can make rigo weight hop without giving him a huge purse...this is the more even fight imo..gamboa could even be drained at 130 who knows..that gives him huge credit if he scalps gamboa at 130 and i think that fight could sell very well

Lomachenko is not as old as the other 3 eastern block fighters who all came into prominence around the same time..... they are all 30+.

He has more time, and he is the most promising.

I would like to see less sensationalism from him and more hard grind.

      Outstanding fighter.
kovalev is much more promising...i dont see him losing to the salido's of the world...ijs...lomo is a diva..u could tell that when he came in the pro game with no fights askin to bypass the ranks..yes i like seeing ppl on the fastrack in their careers but for him to just surpass every top ten name was a joke..
he's a damn good fighter but he knows his limitations...he knows he needs the weight and reach on his side or it is highly likely that he wont take the fight

if boxing was only about divisional supremacy u'd never got match up like holmes vs spinks...ward dawson...floyd/canelo...and many more srlhagler...fights like that would never occur..and to add to my point i'd rather see guys like ggg take on adrade from anywhere from 154-160 more than i'd want to see the upcoming ppv...boxing is situational..u just have to know who to listen to that does not project bias
        True.....

But none of those matchups matter on the larger boxing landscape.

        Not one of them.

Some were good fights, and some will add color to ones resume.....

..... but title defenses against the very best your division has to offer (with NO excuses) will make the biggest impact when it come to hof selection.

Gamboa will not make the hof by making irrelevant appearances in multiple divisions..... winning some / losing some..... but achieving little/nothing of note.

          No way.

And if Kovalev had made that same silly move when he first turned pro, he would have also lost to a seasoned vet who was right on top of his game.

They made that risky move because Loma was so far ahead of Kovalev its not funny...... both in terms of his technical development as a fighter, and in his ability to adapt to the professional game.

          Loma > Kova

kovalev would have knocked a guy the caliber of salido tf out lol

kovalev has natural power that loma could never reach...and his feet are not looked at as some of the best in boxing...lomo does not compare at this point and when he goes up in weight it might get even more apparent that he's not a great pro

Gamboa today is better than anything TR can give him...al haymon owns the 126 titles...he has no defense that would mean anything..gamboa would get him more money and more respect amognst the fans...wat we say in these chat rooms and how many articles get wrote about him can get him in the HOF faster than defending vs the last 2 ppl he's fought

In his first pro fight ?

                No way.

BTW, the calibre of Salido = a tough experienced crafty vet, who was right on top of his game at that point in time.

Loma clearly has a plan, and Gamboa clearly needs one.....

Plans are not made for " today ".

Those guys are two divisions apart, at least.

Any plan that includes an opponent two divisions away, is a pretty damn flexible gameplan thats for sure.

                  Gamboa offers Loma nothing imho.

i dont know, I'm keen on the fight I suppose, but I doubt it will ever happen.

Not interested. Gamboa should fight a tune up first. If he was undefeated I'd be all for it

I like this fight. Gamboa has power to hurt Lima easy and they both have great speed and skill.

Someone said no BBC alev is better than lomachenko and they need to be slapped. Loma is leagues better. If krusher wasn't freakishly strong he wouldn't be blip on the radar.

So far he has managed to **** his way through sorties and old people. His best win was Pascal and even then he didn't dominate. Pascal even hurt him. I would bet any amount of money fonfara smokes him.
