How the hell is this a title fight? How the hell does Broner keep getting title fights?

Well for their past two fights jr was on showtime while broner is on regular tv. I just wanted to hear your thoughts though. I think the mathysee fight does more ratings imo

This is a solid matchup for Broner ive gotta admit...this is how they shouldve been matching him to build him up. Broners management completely abandoned the development stage for Broner once he hit contention, he was merely a prospect-turned-contender when they put him in with Chino. Id like to thank his management for that Khabibs a good opponent and can very well beat Broner.

They've got two belts opened up and picked the fighters they feel would represent the WBA at 140. Right now anyone that has done more than broner at 140 is coming off a loss just like he is. Imam is targeting the WBC belt. Provo is most likely gonna target the wbo as a former champ or go up for rios, and Herrera is off the Lundy win with a nasty cut.
The scene in the 140lb division has changed dramatically in the last few months, the names you mention have all dropped in the ratings. Some new faces have popped up, Ceasar Cuenca, Crawford have emerged, Postol, Algieris still rated..its nice to see Matthysse still going strong, rated #1. Completely new scenery, Garcias vacancy wont be filled until the MatthyssePostol winner faces Crawford. GBP and TR have alotta guys in the top 15 so it could be awhile before we see a significant matchup at 140 outside of MatthyssePostol..i say that bcuz Bob still shows no signs of intending to work with GBP

no he was a 3 division title holder according to his fans which is supposed to be meaningful but wasn't because those were cherry picked titles. chino also wasn't some great fighter, just a fringe contender himself that exposed a smaller fringe contender.

They didn't really "throw him with Maidana," they thought it was an easy style match up after seeing what Devon Alexander did to him.
