No matter how much you may dislike him Stevenson is right, and a fight between the two on Canadian ppv brings in faarrrr more money than HBO. Especially with Adonis name on the bill.

Kovalev really only has the belts he got from Hopkins as ammo. Stevenson is the money, no way around it. He is also the name and has arguably the better resume.

Uh, HBO doesn't preclude it from being on Canadian Ppv. In fact just about every HBO fight involving a Canadian is a ppv there. Nice non point

you said go back to the original deal, that was the original deal, HBO only offered 1 mill for the fight, stevenson got a better offer on his own, asked HBO to match it, they chose not, killed the fight, duva sued haymon to stop the hopkins fight and only dropped her lawsuit when hopkins fought her guy instead. and this was when HBO put up a 3mill purse for ward vs rodriguez and rodriguez was a haymon fighter working with hbo during the cold war. if they were willing to let ward fight a haymon fighter and pay him 800k (1 mill if hed not missed weight) why werent they so eager to match what was showtime was willing to, HBO has done it in the past when arum took pacquiao off HBO and went to showtime for the mosley fight, after that HBO went right back to giving arum what he wanted. oscar just did the same with showtime and hbo for canelo, thats why canelo is a exclusive HBO fighter, and canelo-lara only happened bc lara ruined canelos post fight conference after angulo and canelo forced oscar to make the fight.

stevenson had been with haymon 2 years...if u look up negotiations now u will only find recent negotiations fool..im not about to go through 3 or 4 google searches for something i already know..

Stevenson clearly ducked the fight in the past and I doubt he wants it now, but Duva's whole handling of the WBC situation has given him some room to make comments like this. Since the cancelled purse bid there has been no movement and until one side makes a realistic offer to the other all of the comments being put out by either side are just empty talk. Kovalev is the real champion of the division but his team are less than perfect.
