What are you talking about bro? Donaire was at his peak when Rigo beat him. Nonito was top 5 in every pound for pound list there was at the time they fought.
it looked like Nonito would never lose again prior to the Rigo fight.
Sergio was coming off of a year layoff, 2 knee surgeries and a lackluster performance his last fight out.
how is it the same?
I only said a bit, he had been through a tonne of wars tear ups with good fighters I believe the Donaire fight was a good win for him but If Golovkin beat someone like that i.e. Cotto/Canelo would that merit him to be considered in the utmost high esteem?
I'm not sure to be honest.
Put it this way I think Rigo would have beat Donaire in any point of Donaires career the same way I think Golovkin would have had too much for Martinez at any point of his career.
It's tough to say because his competition isnt hat great, I have no clue what he looks like against a real challenge. For now I'd say most highly regarded mw would just based on the fact we've seen them win at top levels.
Bingo!
Would you prefer the beer stein or the kewpie doll?
Looking at how irresponsible Golovkin has been defensively in his last two outings, I could name a good amount. It's just hard to measure how much of it is him not caring/ or not being defensively equipped enough.
It's at his trainer's request to make the fight more exciting.
