Him and his team brought it on themselves man,by 1st saying everyone from 154-168 is ducking them and they will fight anyone..Then saying they want Froch and Chavez Jr at 168..But then saying they would only fight Ward at 164. Dont care how you want to excuse or explain it they did it to themselves. Now he is in no position to demand anything from Cotto or Canelo at the winner can drop the WBC belt and still have the Ring title and be the Lineal champ and WOULD NEVER HAVE TO FIGHT HIM PERIOD. I'd rather Cotto/Canelo leave the division than for them to catchweight every MW they face. What value does the title reign have if every bout is at a CW? As long as everyone else faces each other, a new lineal or undisputed champion will eventually be crowned. It's possible that if Canelo wins, he'll take a hiatus from MW and return later when things are more tidy. However, it's not like there's a lot of opponents for him @LMW right now.

Right, and that's why so many people want to see GGG vs Canelo/Cotto.

I said this the moment Martinez vs Cotto got made, that if Cotto wins the MW division could get really screwy, with catchweight fights between junior middleweights for the lineage while the best middleweights are left on the outside.

I've tried explaining this before but I guess most of NSB doesn't care but the middleweight division is one of the few divisions where we can trace the lineage back over a decade. Hopkins-Taylor-Pavlik-Martinez-Cotto. It would be a damn shame if it's broken and the #1 MW never gets a crack at it. Lots of history in one of boxings most decorated divisions.

To put this in perspective: there are 17 divisions in boxing and there are only 3 divisions that have a 10+year lineage. However, if the only way we can get Cotto/Canelo vs. any relevant MW is at @CW, then let it break.
