How many brain cells must you have lost that you can create such a pointless thread?
Hagler/Hearns/Duran would destroy GGG

This is over the top, and to say any half decent boxer would obliterate any ATG... That's down right ****** and I mean that with no disrespect.... Hearns although having a questionable chin is a boxing nightmare for damn near every current fighter, from 147-175. Duran is also far from a worse version of Pacqauio.... Fact!!! Duran would scare the life out of every fighter from 135-160.. Probably would KO damn near every current fighter from 135-147... Including Pac. Hagler at 160 is possibly the only boxer I would give damn near every current and past ATG middleweights to have a chance... Hagler was a different bread. You need to watch more if your thinking the way you are...The moment you mentioned "ATG" as a defence, you INSTANTLY lost!
All Time Great can ONLY mean that you were great relevant to the competition of your day and those that came before it. It cannot possibly have taken into account ANYTHING in reality that happened afterwards, unless the board that determined said boxer to be an ATG first invented a time machine to check that he would still be considered so throughout all eternity.
ATG therefore is merely an honourable label applied to boxers who distinctly achieved in their own time.. NOT "ALL" time.
In terms of H2H, ATG is utterly worthless..
And in fact, even a quick bit of research reveals the truth...
ALMOST every ATG who has ever existed would be utterly obliterated by ANY half decent boxer today! FACT!
^Now Hagler and Hearns and Duran were special, and so they are an exception to the rule!
Except, Duran is a much crapper version of Pac, Hearns was fast, long and powerful but especially chinny (and GGG walks straight through the hardest hitters anyway and is more skilled than Hearns) and Hagler is a lesser version of Canelo!!
^This is simply how it is when you actually WATCH them box!
AND..
Let's not forget HOW these guys met with their ATG status... By fighting each other!
GGG has instilled so much fear amongst his peers that none of the other top fighters WANT to even face him!Comment

GGG would be getting touched with Hearns' jab from the first bell. He's never faced anything close to Hearns' power either. Not even close.
He definitely has a punchers chance but I see Hearns boxing his ears off.
He would probably be too big and strong for Duran but Duran could still bring it at MW and GGG has never had to fight on the inside with anyone like Duran.
Hagler was IMO the best middleweight ever, GGG hasn't fought the level of comp for me to say he beats Hagler.Comment

Interesting took you two pages to reveal your disdain for him and true motive. The thread is useless, ATG legends beating a guy, shocker. That's the best you got? You want to insult him, suggest broner would beat him.ARE WE NOT ALLOWED TO TRASH A FIGHTER HERE? JUST POSITIVE KISSES AND HUGS?
YOU HOPE MY STAY IS A SHORT ONE? GEE, THANKS, JERK.
I'M A NEGATIVE PERSON BECAUSE I THINK THOSE 3 WOULD BEAT GGG? BUt if I had said GGG could beat those 3, that would have been a POSITIVE PERSON? That'd be OK with you, hmm?
Are you 1 of those people who thinks everyone is negative if they don't say pretty pink positive things? What a way to try and shut down opposing views!Last edited by El-blanco; 08-23-2015, 11:00 PM.Comment

I'll give this thread more thought than it deserves.
First of all, it is early to compare GGG with greats before we have even seen him at the most elite level as a pro. It would be more interesting to compare him after he has had some big fights.
Hearns was ever dangerous with his right hand even at the highest level, and his fight with Duran helped prove that. That being said, he got KO'd by both Hagler and Barkley at middle (he was 30 when he got KOd by Barkley). He got wobbled a few times and his chin simply was not good, in spite of all his other attributes. I think at Middleweight GGG would be a hell of a lot more likely to knock him out than the other way around. We have never seen GGG hurt, and he took Stevens best shots (not the same puncher Hearns was, but he is a big puncher). GGG would not be suffering from the same ridiculous height and reach disadvantage that Duran was. Middle was not Hearns' most dangerous weight, and I think the fight could conceivably go either way. Hearns could win a decision on the outside if he managed to tame GGG's aggression, he could conceivably KO GGG although we have never seen him hurt, and GGG could KO him as he has been KO'd by lesser punchers. I would pick Hearns by benefit of the doubt because we haven't seen GGG at that level and it is a difficult match.
Hagler would be a tough fight for GGG. Right now I would pick Hagler to beat him because as brutal of a puncher as GGG is, Hagler was a tank. GGG would switch into a more technical mode, but I think Hagler would edge him. Hagler by decision.
Duran at 160 was still a madman, but against a full Middle of GGG's caliber, I don't think he could win. He has some good accomplishments at Middle, but nothing close to a win over a guy like GGG. GGG wins by decision in a tough fight. KO would be possible, but I wouldn't expect it.Last edited by Mukuro; 08-23-2015, 11:19 PM.Comment

You didn't actually read my post did you! The biggest problem on this forum is dudes can't read! This is over the top, and to say any half decent boxer would obliterate any ATG... I never said every half decent boxer could beat ALL ATG's, just MOST of them.
AND
I already declared that these 3 guys were special cases, and of course would be competitive today.
However, Duran is definitely a crapper version of Pac. Less skilled, slower, less atheltic, weaker. That is a fact! He would struggle very badly today!
Hearns would definitely be tough work for any fighter today and would maim guys without a hard chin or a punch themselves to stop him. Unfortunately GGG has both a hard punch AND a hard chin- I can't see how anybody can shame-facedly claim that Hearns would win!
Hagler is best match up, but come on, this is ****ing Golovkin! Wake up world!Comment
