what's ward doing hanging around at 168??????? has he not cleaned out the division???? seems like he's ignoring 175 because he doesn't want to get KO'ed by guys his own size/slightly bigger.

GGG still has business to take care of at 160 (andy lee/wbo belt and winner of cotto vs canelo).

but why is ward hanging out in a division he already cleaned out??????? makes no sense to anyone with a brain.

Despite all the nervous talk, I see the winners of those two fights fighting each other. That being said, if the winner did vacate then GGG would probably fight Andy Lee before Ward is my guess.

Btw, loser vs loser of the ppvs is probably not a bad fight either.

Ward isn't obliged to move up, just like Golovkin isn't. Both guys will eventually move up, Ward probably sooner than Golovkin.

Ward isn't the ducking type, I guarantee you he will fight Kovalev by the end of next year.

I think both sides would be fine with a 50-50 split.

I just don't think Golovkin's team want that fight yet, like I said that's fine, but they need to stop misleading the fans if that's the case. Just say we will fight Ward when we move up to 168. That's it.
We don't know if it is yet, all depends on the numbers. If it flops - and it could - Golovkin's next fight will be on regular HBO with a smaller budget.

Just to add, I don't think more accomplished/proven fighter matters a jot in terms of purse split, it's all about who brings in viewers and sells tickets. That said, I don't believe Team Golovkin would be that hard to negotiate with and would likely be amenable to 50-50.

I agree though, they don't want the fight in 2015. Not convinced Ward does either or he'd be taking on harder opponents than Periban who he has been linked with, still in tune-up mode.

It depends on what the expectations are, also Golovkin vs Ward would do more than Golovkin vs Lemieux regardless.

Team Golovkin have been making some ******ed demands, 164 catchweights and shi*...

Yall trying to use what Sanchez says and use that to discredit GGG. Logical fans are using what award says out his own mouth to discredit Ward, see the difference?

Honestly Ward wants the fight just as much as GGG. He's using GGG name to create buzz but if he seriuosly wanted the fight he would accepted the fair 164lb catchweight. Face it Ward doesn't want the fight not does he deserve it. He needs to get in the ring with top level comp and stop trying to live off wins from 3 years ago.

The guy ain't even ranked for Christ sake.

We can go with what GGG said.

40 seconds in: "Ah... No, Ward too much for me." While shaking his head no.

The more they talk, the more it sounds like they are just plain worried. The garbage coming out of Team Golovkin regarding Ward is plain pathetic.

GGG is not ducking Ward. Ward isn't ducking Kovalev either. Floyd(your God), isn't ducking GGG.

They use Kovalev as a shield with one breath, and claim Golovkin is every bit as good as Kovalev with the next breath.
