Don't b*tch when A-sides treat you like ****, then. Team Golovkin has no ground to stand on when Cotto or Alvarez or anyone else dictates terms to them and they start complaining about it. Which they will when the Cotto/Alvarez winner asks them down in weight and so forth.

I know. GGG is such a coward for trying to fight Floyd.

As for why he was willing to face Froch or Chavez Jr at 168?...not that I care about a fighter's purses, but they came out and said that both those fights were much more lucrative and worth making the weight sacrifice for. Had Ward been a ppv attraction or lucrative payday, they would have made the sacrifice for him as well despite offering to come up 4lbs to make the fight. Does it mean that they dont see fighting Ward as a good reward vs risk? Sure. They're taking a page from pretty much every top fighters book. Especially Floyd's.

Do I think the fight happens? Yes so long as Ward doesnt make a permanent move to LHW and if he does then great because he'd be on a inevitable collision course with Kovalev. For now there's big fights for GGG at 160 and would make no sense for him to make the jump just yet. Especially with a potential megafight with either Cotto or Canelo dangling in front of him.
no, I'm saying since he can't get the quality opponent he wants at 160, go find one somewhere else. That's why I have been saying Ward, Floyd or Lara would be fine with me. The ward fight seems to be the most realistic of these given the climate.

Slowly, you are admitting that ward is high risk for GGG and likely beats him. Actually, they are taking a page from ODH, Shane and Manny relative to Floyd. GGG, much like them, knows ward is highly skilled and could not only defeat him but neuter him and make fans question if he is as good as HBO has said.

To say he has fights at 160 is fine, but he showed a willingness to go to 168 for the money, why not do it to fill the void in quality comp you complain about?

Since GGG is a killer & he has difficulties getting guys in the ring to fight him. They'll fight ANYONE from 154-168......

Fast forward to now we all know that was a crock of shit.

Considering the guys that Ward has beat... No way GGG is the A-side. That being said, it does not mean they should give in to a bunch of his demands (like fighting in Oakland for example).

Do you understand with this same formula.. Cotto will never fight GGG... he don't need to.. far more lucrative fights with Canelo (and if he wins) with Floyd for a rematch for that belt for 160.

As a GGG fan, when do you get tired of him KTFO of 8-1 and worse underdogs? Don't you want to see if he can beat someone when he is the underdog?
I agree with wanting the best fighting each other.golovkin needs to be given the chance to clean his division out first something ward did long ago yet you don't call on ward to move up and fight kovalev so why the double standard when it comes to golovkin? is cotto not regarded as a great fighter.
