I'm ok with his decision and with wanting to fight Abraham. I'd think it would be fine if he fought an easier opponent for that matter.

At 50 he has the right to pick and choose, and Abraham is a better choice because of the whole age thing (fighters 35 plus shouldn't have to fight the 25-28's imo), but lets not pretend it wasn't political. Hopkins labeled 168 as the weight people hide in to avoid 175, so its really not that prestigious. I don't even know how long the class has been around.

Yeah BHOP has done it all and no one can argue that a 50 year old should be fighting someone as dangerous as beterbiev.....but he'd get even more respect off me if he would come out and tell the truth that these modern eastern European elite fighters are just too good for how modern black boxers have become....that being defensive, picky prima donnas ..modern elite Europeans are big for their weight, don't shy away from challenges, have better technical fundamentals and are massive punchers. Golovkin, Froch, Kovalev, Beterbiev and the Klitschkos are some mean mofos and it's good to see them bringing boxing back to where it should be.

But Froch lost to Ward, Golovkin hasn't fought an elite slick black fighter, Kov went 12 with the only slick black fighter he fought and he was 50 and couldn't even get him out of there, and Klitchko had his roughest night in years against a Philly fighter with no amateur fights.. So what are you talking about?
