But you're right, Ward vs Kovalev should be next since neither guys got much going. What's the holdup there?
The holdup was Ward thinking ggg would sack up and accept the fight, give it time a Ward/Kovalev fight is a relatively new concept

So what's preventing him from pursuing it NOW? The mouth watering matchup with Periban on an undercard?

What makes you think a Ward/Kovalev fight isn't being worked on?

A nagging question, why don't you want ggg to fight an elite opponent? Everyone of these threads you come running to his aid. Are you related to him? In love with him? What?

I'm just not seeing any initiative there, hell neither guys got a fight scheduled

From a guy saying Ward Kovalev needs to be built up lol. Enjoy Ward vs Periban on that undercard.

Can't imagine a scenario where GGG survives the headbutting octopus with a decision. It'll look a lot like Klitschko/Povetkin minus the knockdowns. Most people agree that Ward/Kovalev is a far more competitive fight. We'll most likely get Ward vs TBA.

I'm not sure Ggg is any easier of an opponent than Kovalev despite the weight factor, but a majority here feel Kov is more competitive, plus unlike Ggg, Ward and Kov are both lacking prospects otherwise. So this should happen ASAP, boxing fans deserve good fights

Ward systematically breaks him down and either Abel stops it or the ref stops it....Ward by TKO!!...wouldn't be surprised if Tom himself jumped in the ring and pulled Ward off his man!!

The numbers tell the story. I guess we know why team ggg passed on this fight.
