I voted for Ward, just like many others here. It's a mismatch isn't it? So why do any real boxing fan want this?

Any poll on Ward vs Kovalev to compare it with?

People who think Ward would stop GGG are crazy.

Boone knocked Ward about god forbid what GGG would do to him but lets be honest at 168lbs... SURE If GGG intends moving up to a weaker division sure but this would be a catchweight If this is to happen because I doubt Golovkin would wanna go up in weight not unless he gets Cotto/Canelo and Quillin/Lee quickly maybe then he'd want another challenge but I'm sure the money fight wouldn't be Ward nor would it be the fight fans want to see.

Ward significantly taller, longer reach, bigger, stronger, faster, much better defense, far more experienced at the elite pro level. GGG hits harder, maybe. But monster MW punchers like Abraham haven't exactly carried it up to SMW. GGG winning would be a huge upset. Kovalev is the far bigger challenge for Ward, can't say I blame Andre for avoiding that fight.

Fans have spoken. It's a predictable fight. Ward wins in a boring clinch fest.

No, they're just educated in the sport. Don't be one of these guys that is dazzled by cancrushing. We've seen Ward shut down world class guys. We've never seen anything of the sort from Genady, but we have seen scrubs put hands on him with little effort.

I guess that doesn't include being educated at reading, work on that. Ward registered 0 KDs in S6, outside of Dawson's corpse hasn't dropped a guy in ages. Allan Green, Miranda all went the distance with 0 KDs. But please, don't cry now, he's a very good boxer, just can't stop a live body

I am educated in this sport as well. Ward has never faced a specimen like Golovkin, his best win is Froch and GGG has more tools and a higher ring IQ, while retaining the same power. Ward is a master boxer but just because Golovkin has many stoppages doesn't make him some sort of face first brawler. That's your first mistake. GGG would set traps and possibly stop Ward late.

Too bad gggs handlers don't share your confidence, they think Ward wins. If they thought otherwise this fight would have been made.
