I wonder what lawsuits ggg's fan base will file once he gets outclassed and dominated for 12 rounds.
What ward's detractors don't realize is ward is B hop 2.0. He has the ring iq of a 49 y/o Hopkins and a young man's body to go with it. That's what makes ward a high risk fight for anybody. Any fighter he faces from light heavy on down will need to ko him to beat him .

Ward by decision. Hopefully he gets KO'ed, though.

Ward is also a dynamic fighter who can change up, he could decide to use his speed and size advantage and keep the fight on the outside, especially if he doesn't like what he feels from Golovkin's inside fighting. Golovkin doesn't fight like Kessler, you can't just turn him and expect it to take away his punch. Golovkin will hit you on the hips and legs if you constantly maul him, he'll throw upper cuts if you're always diving in. If Andre gets away with excessive holding, he can expect to get the top of Golovkin's head rammed into his chin.
Pretty much how I see it outside of Ward trying to stay outside. Imo he gets destroyed if he trys to stay outside. He is playing right into all of GGG's strengths, and not really his strengths if he does that. Allowing GGG to stalk you and get you timed is a recipe for disaster.

some of you clearly don't even watch andre ward fight.

the smart money is on ward on points. that's what vegas odds will indicate.
Ward would definitely be the favorite, but I imagine not a prohibitive one. Probably open at like -400 and shorten to somewhere just north of -200 by fight night if I had to take a stab in the dark, but that totally depends on what happens in fights for both of them between now and the time they meet if ever.

But don't sleep on Golovkin, dude knows how to get into position to land with those power shots. 3G by TKO seems entirely probably to me, followed by Ward by points. Might have money on both of those outcomes depending on the odds.

            empty rhetoric.

Dawson-Ward was not fought at a catchweight and Ward didn't ask for one. Dawson offered to move down to 168.
when a lightheavyweight has to go down to 168, its worse than a catchweight.

catchweights usually meet in the middle, Dawson had to go down a full division. Stop trying to rationalize it. if Ward was so righteous calling himself the Son of God, he would have done the right thing and offered to fight dawson at 175lbs and gotten a big legacy win as a light heavyweight champion.

Instead he did the whole floyd excuse thing with canelo:

"i didnt ask for the catchweight, they did"

Golovkin was willing to fight Chavez jr and Froch at 168 but not Ward. What is your excuse for that?
            no excuse.

its an obvious maneuver of a guy who knows deep down he's not ready for ward. he said yes to froch and jr because he knows he can beat them.

i dont blame GGG, he's just really starting. Ward has already wiped out 168, there is LITERALLY NO REASON HE SHOULD EVEN BE FIGHTING THERE.

Its not like GGG is some massive trash talker saying he's better than ward he's TBE etc....

its an obvious maneuver that doesnt need explanation.

Ward has done far more for his legacy than Golovkin at this point in their careers. Golovkin is already 33. When is he going to do something for his "legacy?"

ward became a pro earlier than GGG yet GGG has more fights than ward.

ward's business with 168 IS DONE. ITS OVER WITH. GGG didnt get the Martinez fight, so now he wants a notable name in his resume which will help him in the negotiating table. Ward already has name recognition, he has bargaining power right off the bat with any potential opponents.

GGG wants what ward wants. He wants cotto vs canelo winner and its a righteous move. Why would GGG risk all of that?

            Andre Ward IS PROVEN.
            HAS FOUGHT PROVEN GUYS.
            HAS BARGAINING POWER ALREADY.
HE HAS ALREADY WIPED OUT THE DIVISION HE'S BEEN IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER.

GGG staying at 160 lbs IS MORE RIGHTEOUS AND JUSTIFIED than Ward staying at 168, a division that he has already wiped out and considering the fact that there are huge money and legacy fights at 175lbs for ward add the fact that he has shown he can compete with the best 175lbs by beating Dawon and the fact that he used to be a 175lb amateur champion.

I stopped reading after that. Golovkin is 33 years old. He is not "just starting" and if he is that indicates how sub par his achievements are at this point.

After reading that it's ironic that you would accuse Ward of spewing " empty rhetoric."

Like who? Froch is a bigger puncher AND a more accomplished fighter - hence better - than the Triple Duck. Chad Dawson also has a much better resume...

More accomplished is obviously not the same as better, else Kessler was better than Ward back then when they fought. Duh. Froch bigger puncher, doubtful, just listen to what Froch thinks about it. Ward didn't fight Dawson, he fought his corpse.
