Nobody is denying that Ward would probably beat Golovkin.

I hate his hypocrisy but Andre Ward is a great fighter who also happens to be a stylistic nightmare to GGG.

But the notion that Golovkin ducked Ward who's not even in the same division as he is just because of some ****** **** his idiot trainer said when Golovkin was still a relatively unknown fighter is just laughable and reading that in every Golovkin thread is getting old and tiresome.

Don't pretend like you don't know how this works...

Ward was a high profile prospect and got to competitive fights first, that's nothing new to the sport, for one...

Two...who would duck Ward and why? GGG is putting people to sleep and dominating, Ward also dominated but in a much less violent way. Let's not pretend that to most opponents, the prospect of losing a UD, and the prospect of getting mauled half dead are the same thing here.

Yes, Ward is more "tested" right now, but if GGG doesn't pass the eye test for you by now, you just flat out don't know what you are watching.

Comparing resumes is a way to compare certain fighters in the right context, but don't pretend like it's the be-all-end-all because it isn't.

              • I think ward makes GGG uncomfortable and gameplans to make him fight backing up. Ward wins in a pot shot fest

                • yawn we all know why the fight didnt happen ggg didnt think the risk reward was worth it period bottom line. both fighters would made money so anything about boring and anything else is for the birds. ggg fans just need to admit ggg was not confident he would win or he woudl took the fight as a win would made him the number one boxer in the sport bare none

"...we all know why the fight didn't happen"???? Really?

That's impossible. Ward only mustered the courage to make an offer to GG just a couple of weeks ago. He did nothing to make the fight happen for one whole year. He just kept blowing up smoke.

He sent the offer by email when he knew GG was already in the midst of promoting the Lemieux fight. Funny part was Ward wanted tuneup first and the fight was supposed to take place at the end of next year.

So the fight could not have happened already. This is what's different between me and the GG detractors. I'm not a huge GG fan nor a Ward hater, but I see it as it is.
