I think Ward's size/range advantage is his strongest asset in this fight. I could see him edging out GGG with his size and tactical advantage, but I could also see GGG getting to him with pressure and accurate punching. I think it is close to a toss up and I really hope the fight gets made in the next couple years.
"SOG" Ward vs "Good Boy" Golovkin @ 168 lbs/12 Stone: Who wins?

Just because one side wants to make sure the contract and negotiations are favorable doesn't make them scared. This sport is still a business.Comment

Hard to say, really. I have to see GGG at 168 first, but either way I'd favor Ward. He's fought the better opposition and continuously proven himself at the elite levelComment

Exactly what I have been indicating in other threads. GGG has no advantage in this fight. Ward is bigger and more cunning. GGG's aggressive style would be effectively neutralized by Ward's clinching and footwork.
TS keeps making polls, but doesn't even give a f*k about them. Kovalev vs Ward is much more competitive as seen in the other poll.Comment

Ward won't be able to clinch GGG. Golovkin will force an inside fight and take away his legs early, and maul him.Exactly what I have been indicating in other threads. its an easy UD for Ward, i honestly see this fight as a huge mismatch
he would be easier than Carl Froch,
GGG called out anyone from 154-168, but we can all now see it was all talk
now Ward vs Kovalev is a great matchup that has to be made nowComment

It's too bad Ward said no when anyone 154-168 was put on notice. Now Gggs doing great business at MW and will only move up and down for serious money and exposure. Unfortunately Froch was not willing to find out if Ggg is overrated.
But you're right, Ward vs Kovalev should be next since neither guys got much going. What's the holdup there?Comment
