That offer was made before Main Events travelled to Russia, the response from Beterbiev's promoter was that it was a fair enough offer. Bear in mind Beterbiev is not exactly a star, he has never headlined a card.

To add, Duva is merely talking at the moment, the proof of the pudding comes when the next purse bid is called.

Duva is just another promoter. If there's any issue I have it's with the people who like to fantasize that Kovalev is somehow scared or reluctant to fight Stevenson. They know it isn't true, but they like to play along.

He's not investing, Waddell & Reed are. Give the hedge fund money to De La Hoya to play with and you can almost guarantee we'd be seeing better fights.

Why are they willing to invest money in Haymon's projects? It is easy for people to flap their gums on the internet because they don't have an understanding of what people are looking for.

Haymon is able to get investors support whilst De La Hoya is not. The fact that De La Hoya is a coke head shouldn't be overlooked when talking about what he would and wouldn't do with investors money. The fact of the matter is he could not stay sober in the build up for his prized assets fight. He's not someone people would trust with a wad full of cash because he sincerely wants to put on good match ups.

He sincerely wanted to end the cold war with Bob Arum and what did that result in? The decimation of his promotional company (Joint fights with Top Rank not included).

The Haymon Defence Force seem unusually rattled by this for some reason.
