surely you don't actually believe he was only paid a dollar? it might've been chump change nonetheless but something went untaxed under the table. Otherwise, why write a check for a dollar?

Max Fonfara: He wanted to be on that show, because of the TV . Main Events didn't want him on the card , because he wasn't their fighter and they didn't want him to get more TV exposure and get more fans . Adamek I think wanted to help that's why Andrew was on the card but Main Events didn't pay him (only opponent got paid)

Emily: So, he essentially bought his way onto the card by paying his own purse. It happens when, for whatever reason, the promoter doesn't want to pay to put a fighter on the card. The manager might pay the purse, or the fighter might forego the purse. Based on that explanation, he agreed to these terms.
