i did not praise canelo for that fight, in fact i think the fight should have never happened, but he did what he was supposed to do, it wasnt his fault(unless you believe in the curse) that other fights didnt get made, i believe he was looking to fight at the right opposition for his age, and then after that fight he stepped up his competition...
September 16. Canelo's most dominating performance?

i watched the fight live at the alamo, no commentators or open scoring, trout landed nothing but pity jabs and made canelo look like whitaker at times...
and i heard trout praise canelo and said he was the faster , stronger and better boxer that night, he said canelos speed and defense surprised them..Comment

I agree with you, and I don't know how anybody could have Trout winning that fight. All he threw were uncommitted pitty patty slaps with little accuracy. Canelo landed all the meaningful punches, showed good defense, was the ring general and dropped Trout.Comment

Cotto's clearly beaten B sides and while he lost some to A guys, he was never outclassed and actually beat 2 A class fighters. It's obvious who the better fighter is and who is going to win.
There are a lot of people who hear "he is a monster" and actually believe, but for people like myself I need to see the monster and the only time it was shown was a blown up JWW and Kirkland... The fact that the JWW lasted longer is all you need to know about the quality of Kirkland. Canelo is still more hype that substance. As Floyd and Douglas showed, that's not how you win fights.Last edited by Beater_of_ass; 08-17-2015, 12:45 PM.Comment

That's the thing with Canelo... every B class fighter he has faced has been tooth and nail, extremely close. He stepped up to A class once and schooled.
