No I just don't want to see a 38 year old Welterweight fight a monster middleweight in his prime.

I don't see that as competitive.

Dare to be great Ward. Its already been almost 3 Olympics ago that you won at light heavyweight, and you still choose to pick on the smaller guys at 168.
I can't understand why there isn't more call for a Ward/DeGale fight. 2 Olympic gold medalists in the same division? But yeah, Kovalev's team have shown interest in Ward that hasn't been reciprocated.

Ward will clinch his way to a boring victory over GGG. Don't know what so great about defeating a small guy who many call overrated. It's indeed a waste of time and money for Golovkin. No glory no money.

Afro pride. Just like when Mexicans or PRs get when they beat each other. They don't care as long as that "W" is there.

You mean there's no pride in defeating Kovalev? What am I missing? Seems the confidence is not there when it comes to a bigger guy.

Ward has fought 2 nobodies in the last 4 years and was still talking about needing another tune-up till he heard about GGG/Lemieux about to be finalized

Him saying he wanted to fight GGG next was a publicity move, and nothing more.

I believe Andre's fans are going to very disappointed and disillusioned with their hero when he retires without fighting either GGG or Kovalev.

He won't fight Kovalev because he knows he would have next to no chance of beating him.

He won't fight GGG because if and when Golovkin is ready to fight him, there will be no argument about which of them is the A side, and it won't be Ward.

We all know how Andre works. He takes big fights on his terms or not at all. He won't be able to have things his own way vs Golovkin, so the fight won't happen.

1-Ward needs to move up and fight Kovalev

2-GGG still has unfinished business at 160(even tho he wanted to fight Chavez Jr and Froch at 168)

3-Ward needs to rebuild his brand name

4-if anything he needs to move down cause he small doe

                I think that covers it
#2 is true. He does have work to do at 160. And he's also said he would fight froch or jr at 168, Ward at 164. Which is laughable. Wards problem is he ain't got nobody to fight at 168. Hasn't in a few yrs. I know he wants that fight but his whole career basically revolves on GGG moving up. If that doesn't happen he's gonna continue to fight lames at 168 instead of moving up to 175. He and pascal would be a good fight to set up the Kovalev fight.

So was Earl Monroe, Rubio, and a shot Ouma a big enough reward?

Ward is a bigger draw then everyone GGG has fought so it would be risk and reward also his largest payday

Ward is a bigger name than GGG...a gold medalist and a lineal champion
Olympic gold medals mean nothing in the pros and Ward is no longer a lineal champion.

And no way is he a bigger name than GGG. Golovkin is rated higher P4P and his next fight will PPV. Ward last fight was on BET and they had to give away tickets to fill the arena in his own home town, ffs.

Bro...you have to retire to lose a lineal title or take an L in the ring

Ward is undefeated and had injuries n promo problems

Didn't jack Dempsey sit on his ass for years n remain champ?

Fighters went to wwll and the titles were froze for years

That's cheap knowing we all know ward is undefeated n had REAL issues why he couldn't fight, not being lazy or war effort

Ward's resume in less fights makes GGG look like a prospect... Be for real...the facts are ward is more proven n beat more world rated comp n champs

Lineal titles are bullshit anyway, but the Ring magazine's version is the one most people go by, and they withdrew it from Ward in Feb because he hadn't fought anybody at 168 for over 2 years.

Ward hasn't had a meaningful fight since Froch, 4 years ago, and now he's such a big star that he has to hang around waiting for a "prospect" to move up a division and give him some relevance?

You are talking through your arse mate.
