What a homeless bumlovkin this guy is! Get it? BUMlovkin?!? HAHAHAHAHA
I feel ridiculous for finding the word Bumlovekin funny. I really do.

Let's be honest only a small minority of fools consider Golovkin a bum.

The only guy with a shot from 168 down is Ward, IMO, that's why I want to see it because Golovkin is also the only guy 168 and down I see having a shot with Ward.

I'd love Ward-Kovalev too sure but I'd rather Kovalev and Stevenson settle their differences.

Andre Ward is signed to Rock Nation, has a good fan base and is one of the best fighters pound for pound...if you think GGG cant beat him, just say so

So was Earl Monroe, Rubio, and a shot Ouma a big enough reward?

Ward is a bigger draw then everyone GGG has fought so it would be risk and reward also his largest payday

Ward is a bigger name than GGG...a gold medalist and a lineal champion

Second what does Manny have to do with GGG.

And last Manny fought top rated 140 fighters, Bradley was #1. It's nots like a Manny is bigger than any of them. Good fights unlike this bull**** Berto fight against a guy ranked behind Frankie Gavin.

Stop being a troll and stop playing secret service for Floyd

        Peace.
154??? Last time he fought at that weight was Canelo (ik 152 etc) & Cotto at 154...

Also, the same weight class where he just got stripped of the Ring title for not fighting IN that weight class for 18 months now?

Floyd heading toward 39 years old, isn't even a big WW fighting a guy that's been at MW for a decade and regularly comes to the ring North of 170.

Even if he could make 154 healthily, which I very much doubt, the size disparity would be ******, add on he fact Floyd's old. It just wouldn't be competitive IMO.

Floyds last 3 fights have been at 147 for a reason, because he's a 147 fighter. There's no mystery behind why out of 49 fights only 3 were North of 147 and he's never weighed in more than 151 lbs.

The fight in Boxing right now is Golvokin-Ward. That's the fight I want to see.
you dont want to see the fight because you dont want to see floyd lose. others want to see the fight because they want to see floyd lose. simple as that

Golovkin vs Ward is going to happen, that's the thing. People on here don't understand, or won't admit, the position Golovkin is in and why a Ward fight right now should wait a bit. Golovkin has a unification bout against Lemieux coming up and he's mandatory to Canelo-Cotto, whom I'm sure K2 believes will be Canelo. In those two fights, Golovkin has a chance to win the WBA/WBC/IBF/Ring-lineal middleweight championship and accomplish the goal that GGG has been set to do for years. It's taken a long time to finally get a chance to put all this together and finally GGG is one fight away. So of course a Ward fight is going to wait. After that, GGG can move up in weight if he wants to, fight Ward and knock him out. That would easily put him up to #1 pound 4 pound assuming Floyd is retired, after dominating Canelo & Ward.

              No I agree entirely.

Lemieux unification, Canelo (hopefully) for the undisputed, maybe a tune up at 168 and then Ward (If not Ward straight away)

That's the logical path to take.

Doe, I can admit that Golovkin won't be competitive against Ward. It's a waste of time. That's being honest. Unlike these idiots who call themselves fans still want a non-competitive fight to happen. Same clowns who claim that GG is a bum, yet wants a bum to fight Ward.

Kovalev vs Ward is more competitive. And that's far from hating Ward, and this has to be repeated because we need to make distinction between fake fans and real fans.

Real fan: GGG is the real deal, GGG vs Ward has to happen.
Fake fan: GGG is a bum. A bum vs Ward has to happen.

Real fan: (like me) Ward is a great fighter. Ward vs Kovalev has to happen.
Fake fan: GGG vs Ward is more competitive than Ward vs Kovalev.

You have an agenda to trash GGG and praise Ward. GGG has proved his greatness to the extent that Ring magazine, Boxing Scene and ESPN all rank him in the top 5 pound for pound fighters in the world. They all rank him HIGHER than Ward pound for pound. So it's not just GGG fans that think he is great. People who write about boxing for a living think he is great and better than Ward. So he comes into the ring at near 170. So what? Didn't you know this is the days of weighing in 32 hours before the fight? No fighter weighs the same on fight night as the they do at the weigh in. Take off 4 pounds for trunks, shoes and gloves and GGG weighs 165 on fight night. Ward weighs near 180 on fight night. Ward is a much bigger fighter, period. GGG is a great fighter no matter what you say or do to prove otherwise. He will likely be knocking out all opponents for a few more years so get used to it. He is a small middleweight who can make 154. He doesn't have to move up to prove anything. If he moved up you would only say he should move up more weight yet. You just don't like him for some reason and you will trash him no matter what he does. GGG has never lost a fight or even been in a close fight. He seldom even loses a round. Nobody has knocked him down or even staggered him. He his a damn good fighter you are the one who is wrong about how good he is. The majority of fans and experts who think he is great are correct.

Golovkin could become great fighter, he's HOF material.

But his management team sucks. He should have fought Lara a long time ago (i have no doubt in my mind that he would've had KO'd Lara with ease), should've went up and fought Kessler or Abraham or even Degale (i think he would beat them all).

Ward is still rebuilding and that could be a greater fight down the line, so in my view is OK not to fight him right now (i think Ward would win, but it would be competitive).

His management is great. He only showed up on US TV 3 years ago, and he's about to headline an HBO ppv. How many Kazakhs have done that?
