McGregor is alright but he's not real. He was getting socked up in his last fight until the other dude wore himself out. Most people on here are correct when they say UFC has a new GOAT every year. Besides the dude has lost twice. The UFC hype tree is ridiculous.

Obviously the only reason there was no real advantage is because Randy never gave James Toney any opportunity to strike him .
The lighter the glove, the more power is absorbed by the target when a punch lands. Obviously, that's why we wear 14 oz, rather than 8 oz gloves for sparring.

Only retired, former top class boxers dabble in MMA, because they can earn so much more money in the ring.

Ray Mercer gave it a try after he retired, and KO'd Tim Sylvia, who was a former UFC heavyweight champ. See what happens when a former top class boxer does land clean wearing those little MMA gloves.

Why don't these ufc "stars" ask Dana white for a raise instead of trying to cash out with a boxing superstar I'm telling you white pockets a lot of money and doesn't pay these chumps what they are worth

He's transcending many different markets on a global scale and his Irish fans are every bit as passionate as the English for Hatton, but he also taps into the US/Irish community and his popularity doesn't look anywhere close to peaking yet. What he's achieved in marketing relative to the short time he's been around hasn't been seen before.
Let's see how long it lasts. A lot of these guys fade rather fast. Meanwhile Floyd has been on top for many years.

Rewatch the fight. Mendes was getting kicked in the stomach and rocked in the head causing him to breath hard in the first 2 minutes, he wasn't gassing he was getting beat up. McGregor escaped during a transition and jumped all over Mendes and finished. Brilliant fight. Mendes is a legit top level fighter, Aldo is p4p #1, if McGregor gets dominant wins over those two there's no argument about his ability.

Thats because the best fight the best. All the time. No ducking and cherry picking there. Boxing you have frauds like Floyd Mayweather marketed to make Promoters Sanctioning bodies networks and venue holders very rich. Not caring about the sport or legacy of a fighter.
MMA will feed a great fighter to another great fighter and may the best man win. There is a reason why a lot of boxing fans crossed over to a sport like MMA. More fighting and blood and action. Vs fights that run around and hug for 12 rounds

He got a gift with the ref stopping the fight. Even the announcers were saying it was a bad stoppage. Any fighter can make it out of the round with 1 second left on the clock.

Mayweather generated that much revenue for his May mega-fight with Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd. Their fight had five to six years of hype and another fight with similar financial strength may not happen again for decades.
