Laughable
Only thing funnier than McGregor's foolishness is Ronda Rousey. The broad has a grand total of 6 UFC fights against a bunch of basic, novice women and she thinks she can beat anyone in the world. Ronda and McGregor can't keep Mayweatehr's name out of their mouth because of the publicity and the knowledge that they will never, ever face him or any other elite boxer with or without gloves on. However.....the talk will continue.
Ronda thinks she can beat anyone EXCEPT 145 pound Brazilian women. They have to lose 10 pounds before getting any consideration for a fight.
Let's see how Conor does against a fully prepared and conditioned Aldo. Not quite the same as a 3 week notice Mendes.
Maybe Rousey and Conor should face each other in a contest of who can say Mayweather's name the most in 60 seconds. The winner will face the winner of Thurman vs Khan.Comment

Lol. This is ridiculous. Been said already but it seems like UFC have new legends of the sport every month who have fought about 3 times, that all seem to call out Mayweather.Comment

I'd have more confidence that u knew what u were talking about if u were delineating the difference in weight between the keys on a computer keyboard , rather than boxing gloves . Look , u don't have to believe me , just ask James Toney (A professional x-boxing champion ) who ALSO stated that the smaller glove size would give him a TREMENDOUS advantage when he fought Randy Couture , but I guess your more of an authority than is he . Obviously the only reason there was no real advantage is because Randy never gave James Toney any opportunity to strike him .There are some real idiots commenting here. Only people who have not trained or been hit by both believe that smaller glove bull****. You realize that heavier gloves have more weight behind them and actually deliver a more concussive blow right? Don't make excuses because MMgAy clowns have chins like 6 year old girls. And what idiot on here said 13oz gloves? Who uses 13oz gloves? You mean 12oz? 14oz? Jesus. MMA guys should have no problems absorbing punches from boxers? LOL wow. Do people here really believe what they type?
MMA is garbage. It is for BJJ guys and wrestlers. Boxing and Muay Thai are REAL sports/disciplines.Comment

It's not bull**** when u think about it . They only real rules is no gouging someone's eyeballs , no biting , no attacking groin areas , fingers , toes ect. Now think about all the times you've watched street fights and ask yourself how many times you've seen someone do any of these things . I've watched plenty of them and have never seen any of these things occur . At least not between men . Not to say it never happens , but I think it's safe to say that it rarely does .I don't mind UFC fighters talking about beating boxers in MMA rules, but they always talk about street fighting too. "Because boxing is a sport, while MMA is real fighting"
That's bull****. MMA is not like street fighting. It's a combat sport, same as boxing, with rules, some of which were introduced to favour grapplers over strike fighters.
The basic rules of MMA were devised by the Gracie family, who were jiu-jitsu teachers.
To use jiu-jutsu moves like an arm bar you have to be on the ground and right up close to your opponent, where you are vulnerable to all kinds of dirty tactics against an enemy who isn't sticking to any rules at all.Last edited by SugarRaRobinson; 08-11-2015, 03:34 PM.Comment

A year from now this is possibly true. McGregor just generated a million US ppv buys in his last fight after only 5 fights in 2 years with the UFC and that's after the champ Aldo pulled out 2 weeks before their fight and Mendes replaced him.
He's transcending many different markets on a global scale and his Irish fans are every bit as passionate as the English for Hatton, but he also taps into the US/Irish community and his popularity doesn't look anywhere close to peaking yet. What he's achieved in marketing relative to the short time he's been around hasn't been seen before.Comment
