Not sooooo much . MMA fighters use 4-6 oz gloves and whereas boxers use 8-13 oz gloves unless they r training in which case they use 14oz or higher . Point is , one take down is all that it takes to defeat a boxer , so if a boxer can't KO a MMA fighter while coming in for a takedown then it's clear who wins . And I'm sure a MMA shouldn't have a problem absorbing a punch or two from a boxer while charging in considering their use to absorbing harder punches from guys wearing 4-6 oz glovesComment

There are some real idiots commenting here. Only people who have not trained or been hit by both believe that smaller glove bull****. You realize that heavier gloves have more weight behind them and actually deliver a more concussive blow right? Don't make excuses because MMgAy clowns have chins like 6 year old girls. And what idiot on here said 13oz gloves? Who uses 13oz gloves? You mean 12oz? 14oz? Jesus. MMA guys should have no problems absorbing punches from boxers? LOL wow. Do people here really believe what they type?
MMA is garbage. It is for BJJ guys and wrestlers. Boxing and Muay Thai are REAL sports/disciplines.Comment

I don't mind UFC fighters talking about beating boxers in MMA rules, but they always talk about street fighting too. "Because boxing is a sport, while MMA is real fighting"Lol , I like and respect Mayweather but those MMA dudes with their arm bars / leg locks and take downs are of a different breed . Boxers couldn't hang with those dudes in a street fight or in a MMA cage , just like MMA guys couldn't hang with boxers in a formal boxing match although they'd fair much better boxing a boxer than a boxer would fighting a MMA fighter .
That's bull****. MMA is not like street fighting. It's a combat sport, same as boxing, with rules, some of which were introduced to favour grapplers over strike fighters.
The basic rules of MMA were devised by the Gracie family, who were jiu-jitsu teachers.
To use jiu-jutsu moves like an arm bar you have to be on the ground and right up close to your opponent, where you are vulnerable to all kinds of dirty tactics against an enemy who isn't sticking to any rules at all.Comment

Mr cash cow McGregor made $500 K for his last outing. Luis Collazo picked up the same amount on the same day against Keith Thurman.Comment
