Comments Thread For: Floyd Mayweather: Golovkin is OK, No Special Effects

To be fair, GGG said he'd move down to 154lbs to fight Mayweather. Floyd fought De La Hoya and Cotto at 154lbs, so why not Golovkin? But then again, after the big fight and payday vs Pacquaio, he doesn't feel the need to take that big risk. Not saying he can't win, but it would be a hard fight.

It took him a long road to achieve the champion’s belt. He could win many glorious fights. But De La Hoya wants nothing but money :-(
What was Oscar thinking getting Lemueix a career high payday and making a big unification fight. Smh....

I agree with Mayweather.
There are no special effects with Golovkin.
That is why Golovkin has avoided movers/spoilers like Lara/Mora/Ward.
Golovkin is tough, real tough..... and unless you possess a certain style or certain qualities, then you will need to be extremely durable to survive him..... he looks great against lower-tier guys..... but if not, then I see Golovkin getting frustrated/tired/worked.

Golovkin only needed a 4lb guarantee to ensure that Ward would be compromised

"I'm safety first you know, so I would never fight him. But GGG is ok, nothing special."
Wow, this is what happens when you are surrounded by so many yes men/women that you're not only believing them, but o.d.ing over them. Boggles the mind to think that there really is no limit to this idiot's inflated ego.
