He's wrong, Robinson accomplished more and would have knocked him out. Running and clinching wouldn't have worked on Robinson. A prime Whitaker probably fight three split decision fights with Runweather. As for the rest, that is history

Ali is the most famous boxer of the modern era (post civil rights) by far but that doesn't make him the greatest talent there ever was or even the most dominant fighter there ever was.

Floyd's list was different and he explained his points pretty well. But there's no way Pernell was above Ali.
Exactly..Ali is usually at #5,which is a great accomplishment

Scumweather has no respect for the greats who paved the way for him

His arrogance knows no bounds, he is a highly dislikeable fella, no respect for his race or his country or women for that matter

I am pretty sure I said this in another thread which was closed but his list shouldn't surprise anyone.

He's going to view himself as number one. People can call it what they want to call it but the belief that he is number one is what motivates him. The moment people start to accept they are not the best at something is the moment they start to make compromises.

The other fighters, with the exception of Ali, were in a similar weight class to him. They are fighters he would have looked at because they were fighters who proved the you could have a distinguished career in the lower divisions.

People also need to realise that he probably views boxing in a different light to people who watch the sport for fun. I'd imagine that he'd view a fighter from the 40s the same way people would view a car from the 40s. Where people would focus on the record, he'd judge them by their ability.
