Whats all the fuss about? Most all time great lists have Ali around number 5. guys like Sugar Ray Robinson, Harry Greb, Joe Louis, and several others are often placed ahead of Ali. Ali is the most famous boxer of the modern era (post civil rights) by far but that doesn't make him the greatest talent there ever was or even the most dominant fighter there ever was.

Mayweather has a point about Ali being the greatest. He did deny and rebel against the federal government at times of war. A war that was unpopular with the people. If Joe Louis would have did that during World War II, would he be as popular?
