This isn't a human development contest, it's a boxing fight...
... The poor guy just said that he will show up and fight his ass off... Nothing about his willingness and his plan to win the fight...

I do understand and i definitely agree. This fight is not Berto's fault. Every last bit of resentment should be directed right at Floyd.

First off, no one suggested Algieri was a world beater that posed a serious threat other than Tim Lane. Second off most sportsbooks had Pac 6/1 or so (highest I recall was 12/1) favorite which pales to the 40/1 all the way up to 100/1 on several sportsbooks for Mayweather over Berto. There is literally no contest in this.. Pacquiao was expected to beat Algieri but Mayweather versus Berto is a complete mismatch where Berto has absolutely no shot at all.
If it's so sig worthy why don't you put it in your signature and find out how funny it is? The only laugh I see is your fake laugh.

Actually you suggested that Algieri was not a mismatch by leaving him out of the conversation. Berto actually has wins over ranked welterweights. Algieri has zero wins over ranked welterweights and has never held a belt at the weight. Sig that.

Whats truly funny is that you're implying that Algieri had a realistic shot at beating Pacquiao based on betting odds. That's truly sig worthy. They are both percieved mismatches and the overrated Algieri was worse considering he's done absolutely nothing at 147.

embarrassing fight. i may kick myself for not buying floyd mayweather's last fight, but we need to take a stand at some point.

it's bad enough that we had to wait for 6 years for mayweather - pacquiao.

i watched berto - josesito lopez yesterday.

josesito was landing combinations and making berto miss. he could have easily been given the first 5 rounds

Floyd has fought the best of his generation, I really don't see an opponent who deserves a shot. Hd Thurman, Porter and Khan had one definitive win then I'd say fight him, but fact is they've ducked real challenges hoping to be cherry picked too.

Chino was a good win coming off the back of the Broner win, Canelo put it out there he could make 152 and he schooled the no.2 p4p PAC. What more can be asked of him, for a challenge guys were demanding he face a bigger guy in Cotto or Lara, yet he's either beat them already or beaten guys who owned their asses. A GGG fight wouldn't have proved shi.t, fact is he's getting on and he knows himself his body is slower than it was ten years ago.

I for one am happy with him taking a soft touch for his last fight, across the divisions he's participated in recently their isn't anything left for him to prove. On the up side the best will have to face the best when he retires, nothing good comes from him sticking around.

This fight should be on CBS, it certainly shouldn't be on ppv and nobody should be paying for it. All this talk of they'll pay me this much to continue well the fans really need to make a statement by not buying and stating they won't buy any more of these Berto, Maidana 2 type match ups. Surely their will be a backlash in regards to figures after the damp squid that was the PAC fight, coupled with the fact he's fighting Berto, I hope this fight bombs, HARD. If Floyd knows he ain't gonna be able to rip the fans off again he won't return.

He was winning the fight on the cards before he got sparked. Two of the judges had him ahead I believe.

I think I was quite clear in the fact I stated no one deserves it, how can or should you be rewarded for avoiding a stern fight after you've only had one noteworthy win. Lets be real about Brook, he ducked, avoided and shirked Alexander, then he literally clinched his way through the Porter fight, since then he's done what exactly ? Aside from call out Khan.

Thurman vs Brook or factor I'm Khan against those guys you've got a winner and a clamour for Floyd to face said guy. I'd be one of those guys.

To answer your question simply, no absolutely not.
