Berto was better with his old trainer Tony Morgan, than he is now with Virgil Hunter. Virgil has turned Berto into something he isn't.... a technical fighter.

But like a precious poster said... It is comoletaly irrelevant who Mayweather fights now...
I honestly thought Danny Garcia was the best choice, but the timeline didnt add up. May Sr vs Angel Garcia would have been fireworks and Mayweather Vs Latin fighter just makes more sense and more $$$ at the end of the day.

I think Ann wolfe would be perfect for Bertos style

LMAO!!!! Oh man that's good. Berto has looked beyond washed up in the last couple of years whereas Algieri recovered from his Pacman loss to fight a competitive fight against Khan. I 1) see Khan absolutely wiping the floor with Berto unlike his performance against Algieri and 2) see Algieri outboxing Berto.

I'm not sure what you still seem to think Berto has left but he's done bro, no chance he does anything other than look hilariously out of place against Floyd. At least Algieri landed some solid straight rights and jabs on Pac in his landslide loss, Berto might not even hit Floyd.

Exaactly, it's not Bertos fault. It's nothing against him personally. At least not for me.

Oh, Ellerbe is here to try and sell the Mayweather-Berto PPV to us.
lol at the thought of Berto crushing anyone, let alone a better fighter like Algieri. :ROFLMAO:

That would be a good fit. Berto was a pretty decent pressure fighter but he has stamina issues, Anne Wolfe would fix that real quick with some of the grueling exercises she has her fighters do.

Can't hate on Berto, its not like he was in the media begging for the fight. Who in their right mind would turn down that payday? But this matchup is trash even if it wasn't on PPV.
If I was Berto I would make Floyd knock me out, he has nothing to lose. He gets sparked out people will say it was a great show and commend him. But there is a chance, albeit a small one, that he catches Floyd with something big and changes his life.

1- Did we not make fun of Thurman too? Weren't there people laughing at Thurman for calling Khan a cherrypicker and then taking his left overs?

2- I know people made fun of Wilder for being a cherry picker and we still do because he's staying as far away from Povetkin or any fighter with a pulse for as long as he can. What, are you only capable of noticing Mayweather related criticisms that are made? Let me guess, do you also think Quillin (etc) is beloved? That we're all only picking on poor Money May?

3- This I think is not the worst of the three, because at least he was a rated up and coming contender with a decent win over Brian Vera. In general, I'd prefer an up and comer to a washed up opponent if all other things appear equal. I'm not sure who else he was supposed to fight but ok, I'll concede on this one. I don't recall this getting much mainstream criticism. At least 3G didn't try to sell it to us for $75.
No. Algieri was a bigger mismatch than Berto. To this day he has never beaten a top ranked welterweight and had almost no chance of even hurting Pacquiao. Conveniently leaving him out won't make it go away.
