WBA goes by merit. Khabib already had the WBA Title and retained it once along with an IBO. Ok so it's debatable about having an IBO, but then that means GGG's IBO is nothing as well, so we can't say that. Benevidez will have his shot. That's not a problem. Let's not make a big about the vacancy. Don't discredit the Interim. It's a security. Broner is ranked 2. It all makes sense.

I did not say anything about the IBO and dont care what belt a man holds (unification are good.) Benavidez will have his shot....... what? the man is already the interim champ! the #1. guy gets passed up for #2. and #5. -- sound right? both those guys are coming off losses ,Benavidez is undefeated and has defended his Interim title.

Furthermore the WBA has ignored its own protocol:

"section c, rule 28 provides that the wba's championship committee may elect to elevate the interim champion or will generally order the two highest ranked available boxers to compete for the championship,"

That would be Benavidez vs. Broner.
