Chilemba thinks over IBF Beterbiev offer as WBC eliminator looms

The IBF will now wait for Chilemba to give his answer whether he wants the Beterbiev fight. If not, then they’ll look to ask the following contenders one by one: #7 IBF Sean Monaghan, #8 IBF Jean Pascal, #9 IBF Sullivan Barrera, #10 IBF Edwin Rodriguez, #11 IBF Thomas Williams Jr. and #12 IBF Eleider Alvarez.

It wouldn’t be surprising if the IBF doesn’t get a yes answer from one of those contenders until he gets to the No.9 or No.10 spot. It’s difficult to picture Barrera or Rodriguez turning down a title eliminator against Beterbiev, because these are two very good fighters and they’ll likely see Beterbiev as someone they think they can handle.

Sound like Chilemba could be out, Barrera vs Beterbiev will be a good one if that gets made

I forget about B-Hop deadline on Thursday so No Reply?

If not Chilemba then why not Fonfara who I think is rated about the same as Chilemba on the IBF Ranking

Chilemba is a spot higher. Fonfara is gonna fight Stevenson again... that's what they're building up to. They're not gonna have him possibly be derailed by Artur.

Fonfara also has way more steam with his title rematch than Pascal does.... they won't make it.
