I mean, these fl0mos wanna act like dudes are coming off some kind of incredible wins before getting Floyd...guys that get Floyd are usually coming off hard fought wins, where they get knocked down (Ortiz), get bruised up and tagged at will (Guerrero), piss poor stamina (Canelo), a shell of himself (Cotto). So this idea that Matthysse couldn't and should not have gotten the fight is comical.

This isn't even to discredit Floyd btw, his fans however live in lala land.
I don't even think Matthysse could beat Guerrero.

That chump cheated with something taped to his glove when he scrapped Lucas' eye. Then he hit him low about 5 times and shoved him to the canvas to get Lucas down and they called it a kd instead of a push.

That's why Danny didn't want any parts of a rematch, he knew his first win was bogus and he'd get properly trashed in the rematch.

Yeah but Haymon really don't control Mayweather. Mayweather is going to do what Mayweather wants to do, he can promise Matthysse or Khan a shot at Mayweather all he wants but if Mayweather says NO then it is really nothing Haymon can do

I would not have mind seeing Mayweather vs Matthysse at all!

Am i the only one that remembers he fought that second half of the fight with one eye. Floyd would hug him and anyone to a win.

Matthysse fans try to sell you this notion that Matthysse was the superior fighter early on, when in reality Matthysse never established himself as the superior fighter at no portion of the fight. Garcia was the more composed fighter, where as Mattyhsse fought desperate.

Lucas is in a good place. He made the right decision to be with Golden Boy. He will probably never be on an undercard ever again like Haymon stuck him on in 2014.

Yeah, I believe it's called a fist. Danny had it tightly wrapped under the gloves and tape! He should've been DQ'd!!!1!11!!!!

A lot of you seem to have got the wrong end of the stick, let me clarify. He knows he's lost so I doubt he's talking about a promise made in 2013. He is talking about last year where Haymon presumably told him a Mayweather fight is coming so he signed with Haymon however Lucas was fed up of getting Molina and Ortiz (not even a title shot) and as a result left Al. He's commenting on last year and not 2013. He's a smart guy, he knows he lost to Garcia and had to rebuild, I watch every move (and interview) Lucas makes and there's no reason to assume he's talking about an old promise.

It's crazy that he just beat a guy not many want to fight better than anyone else and people are still sleeping on him for losing to Garcia 2 years ago. It's clear Garcia's suffered more from that night than Matthysse.
