Kovalev eliminated any chance of his next fight being a big fight by having it in Russia. Even Kovalev himself said that the Ward fight shouldn't take place over there.

There's no guarantee that Haymon would win the bid if it happened. Duva might have one of the Russian promoters backing her up for this fight.
Exactly. So let it go to a bid, the highest bidder wins and they get to determine where the fight is.

Both could move up. There's a couple Russian beltholders at cruiserweight. Or try and fight Deontay Wilder for his heavyweight trinket.

Or take part in the purse bid and fight Stevenson.

I've been a hardcore fight fan for 2+ decades and Haymon has been a player for a long time. And to be honest, much like Floyd, his biggest "fans" are the folks who despise him. I'd be willing to bet that Haymon's haters are much more knowledgeable about who Haymon has in his stable and moves he's making than the people you claim to be his fans. I'm pretty sure most of the people you accuse of being Haymon fans are pretty indifferent about him.

... The moment when everything will be reduced to "purse bids" between the Russian "big money shots" and Haymon there will be an actual "cold war"...

To solve this problem you have to get to the root of it. We all hate that the fights we want are not getting made. Not until HBO cuts out the biased BS and puts Haymon affiliated boxers back on then a lot of this stuff goes away.

If HBO keeps its stance up then yes, Haymon and his affiliates are going to utilize the purse bid to make deals for fights. Others with huge resources will follow suit if they get in the game.

No point even talking about Superduck. He's found his level and is going to stay at it till one of these cans beats him or he retires.

He said that because it wouldn't be PPV, probably meaning that a PPV would get them more money. But what if Vlad Hyrunov or Ryabinsky bid big money for that fight and want it in Russia?

He didn't walk away from the purse bid, only Kov did.
