I disagree. He will get into the HoF, but I think he'll thoroughly deserve it. The win against Pavlik was a very good one and the same goes for Williams II. The JCC jr win looks worse now but at the time that was another impressive win. Most of his defences were pretty solid and he ruled 160 for quite a while - which is even more impressive considering he was a natural 154lber.

The Chavez Jr win was not seen as an impressive win. It was seen as a payback fight for Martinez because of what the WBC did to him and how he was played by HBO. Everyone thought Martinez would KO Chavez Jr. That was not a big win at all. Not at the time, and certainly not now.

True, but most of them were off-balance KDs. Aside from the Marg KO, he was never hurt until Chavez landed his monster shot and even that was not enough to keep Martinez from attacking him.

Martinez was a shot fighter before Golovkin became relevant though. At that point his name and title was being sold to the highest bidder.
