The problem i have though with the compliment part is that the same people that are *****ing about this fight, won't even give him credit for beating Pacquaio. Why the hell therefore should he fight to please them. He's done most of what we've asked as fans.

    This is his fairwell fight.

In the last ten years, how often have you seen fighters have tough match ups as their last fights. Hardly much.

really???? hahahahahahaha lemieux is ranked top ten at 160 along with ggg and he's also a WORLD CHAMPION!

what has berto done recently??? what's his ranking??? berto hasn't done anything relevant since forever, he's not a world champion, he's not in his prime anymore, he's not ranked TOP TEN ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guerrero & Ortiz yeah, but I don't really agree with Mosley. Going into the fight I felt he had the power (and handspeed) to take Mayweather out, even if he was past his prime.

your hero never fought any top fighter in their prime because he's a coward. he waited until pac was far past his prime and coming off a devastating KO loss before fighting him, he waited until cotto took two severe beatings against pac and margarito before he fought him, he waited till mosley was completely old and shot, oscar was at the tail end of his career, etc. etc. etc.

this is supposed to be your TBE??????????????????

              Absolutely agree.

3G was a 10/1 favorite over Ouma, and a 25/1 favorite over Rosado. At that time, 3G hadn't already run through Murray, Geale or Macklin. But still both were agreeably mismatches without redeeming qualities, like in the case of Monroe Jr where at least you could point out that he was a rated up & coming contender.

3G/Lemieux odds are wide, but Lemieux is ~top 5 in the division and a title holder coming off of a win over a reasonably solid opponent. It shouldn't have been made on PPV, and won't be the kind of fight where a win would turn him into a HOFer, but it's nowhere near as insulting as Mayweather/Berto.

They will still be around until at least a year after Floyd has retired.

Yup, Lemieux won't be given a chance to be competitive. The closer odds for GGG-Lemieux is all based on some miracle hail mary KO, which we all know won't happen.

I complain about both but GGG vs Lem is by far the better match.

Lem is at least a title holder and has 1 career win over another top 10 MW. Which he finally just got in his last fight.
