Seriously you guys need to just admit that Kathy/Kov didn't think this through and made a tactical mistake. She could have either let the fight go to SHO in 2014 or advised Kov not to sign the HBO deal until after he fought Adonis.
Huh? Mohammedi only became Kovalev's mando after he won the IBF belt from Hopkins, so I don't know why you are talking about waiting 2+ years to fight him.

You must not know about this, but Mohammedi was BHop's mando, and the reason BHop called Duva at midnight to make the fight with Kovalev was because the deadline to fulfill his obligation to fight Mohammedi had expired, and Haymon still hadn't called him about Stevenson.

BHop didn't want to fight Mohammedi, and neither did Kovalev. But the winner of their fight had no choice but to fight him next or be stripped by the IBF.

Unfortunately this looks like a duck from GYM and Team Beterbiev, they can cite a "next fight" but we know they're seeking to get Kovalev to vacate his belt. This was a great offer and they pussied out.

      Thank Mr. Al Haymon.

In the espn article it even says kovalev is under exclusive contract to hbo. Are you this dense? What is the point of posting this? This is what all of us have been saying. Nice try though.

Only option was to totally damage the relationship with HBO and walk out with no assurance that A they would let him and B that he would ever see that multi fight contract again. And Haymon knew this which is why the purse bid was a tactical move and a sham.
Dude if you think this fine-then explain why Duva went to the WBC and asked to be the mando in the 1st place? By rule if the negotiation was unsuccessful, then it would go to a purse bid.

Why should Michel settle for HBO's low budget offer when more is out there? Please explain that?

When Adonis signed with SHO, Kov had no HBO deal, so he could've made the fight then on SHO. Duva chose not to. fine.

The bottom line is there is more money available then what HBO is offering. Why do you and others insist this fight has to go to HBO when this means either kov/beietbiev or kov/Stevenson is made for less than is available?

Read the last thread, it clearly points out they are re negotiating, Kov had completed his requirements.

He resigned with HBO after pulling out of the purse bid. Nothing you say changes this.

I was saying Mohammedi was the mando for 2+ years. Poor wording.

              Your post is correct.

Again. Kathy made the first move and Michel/haymon countered it. She didn't plan it out long term. her mistake. She needs to do a better job.

No, you lied. You've been spouting that bull**** for weeks, now that someone called you on it you chalk it up to poor wording. You were explicitly saying that kovalev didn't fight him for two years. Enjoy your delusions.

First off even if Haymon successfully overbids and overpay for a fight with Stevenson does that make up for the multi fight guarantee he has for HBO? No the hell it doesn't. Now after that fight is there a guaranteed that Kovalev will see that contract from HBO again? No the hell there isn't. Why would Duva turn down a long term contract worth more over the life of the deal for a one fight big deal and nothing after that? And again this is assuming that HBO doesn't block the fight since they have last fight rights. Just stop homie you trying to hard to defend utter BS. The scenario you keep recycling is just false. Kova's options were stick with HBO or leave HBO and probably never come back. There is no he is a "free agent" fight on PBC then return to HBO. He owed them last rights and a new deal was all but done.

                      I'll go slow for you.

I didn't disagree with your point they were in negotiations. I said he resigned with HBO after pulling out of the purse bid, which is true. Negotiations and a final deal are not the same thing.

You like to pick at things because I got at you for the Floyd pic. I get it. On this one there is no real debate IMO-Kathy played this wrong.
