Hou means that Skoglund will get smashed due to the fact that he had difficulty with an old Glen Johnson.

Where does it say that bids override exclusive contracts? Any recent examples of someone fighting off their network due to a purse bid?

Or is there any examples of guys losing belts for not being able to fight off of their network due to a loss purse bid?

It seems like contracts SHOULD include this sorta stuff I know that much. As much as I hate to admit it alphabet groups titles (sketchy or not) give value to boxers & if you were to lose a alphabet title over a TV deal its ultimately like your employer is lowering your value when it comes time for a new deal. Seems like a huge conflict of interest to me, but this is boxing so conflict of interests are all over the place lol.

IBF ruined everything now we never getting this fight , Hopkins is not fighting so is Isaac Chilemba vs Beterbiev for the eliminator, and then Haymon will win the bids Kovalev won't fight on the PBC because his promoter is with HBO ..

Leaving the IBF belt free for Artur Beterbiev vs Andrzej Fonfara (IBF #5)

good for him....I don't care about what happened in the ams(minor league)....right now they're in the major league....no head gear and smaller gloves...Krusher is a pitbull while dude is still a pup....Krusher would've ruined that baby....on the flip, who can Krusher pound out until the Ward fight is juicy?!?

It was Wlad Hrunov who turned up at the Wlad/Fury purse bid ready to put up nearly $19 million to stage it in Moscow. The guy who won the Wlad/Povetkin bid was Andrey Ryabinski.

If Kovalev can become a star in Russia, which seems to be what Duva is hoping for with his next fight, I think it very possible that one of these two guys might decide to put some of their money behind him and bring him back again. Hrunov teamed up with Frank Warren for the Wlad/Fury bid, so maybe it's more likely to be him than Ryabinski.

                    • This isn't a surprise at all, even after all the talk by Beterbiev that he wants the fight now and he's prepared to beat Kovalev again etc, etc. The key phrase by Michel is that they will go back to talking. That seems like all they really want to do at this moment. Michel and Duva have past transgressions and Beterbiev is signed with Haymon who doesn't do business with HBO fighters so good luck with this fight getting made anytime soon.
As long as the Haymon motto continues to be low risk, high reward, any talk of this fight will end up the same as the possible Kovalev/Stevenson matchup, just talk. Talking about fighting the best in your division and beating them handily while actually fighting bums and over the hill opposition is the Haymon way.
Garcia, Stevenson, Wilder and Santa Cruz are just a few of the many examples of boxers who represent this phenomenon successfully.
