Yes there are budgets and whether you like it or not, agree with it or not, the investors have given Haymon resources to approach this as he sees fit. They trust his model even if you do not.

You guys need to stop throwing hissy fits that Haymon was able to secure resources to implement his vision/plan/strategy over the long term.

Respectfully, you seem more afraid it will succeed.

I didn't say he wasn't in negotiations. The ESPN article has been posted and we've discussed it.

He resigned with HBO after he pulled out of the purse bid. You know this is true.

Again. Kathy made the first move and Michel/haymon countered it. She didn't plan it out long term. her mistake. She needs to do a better job.

He obviously has high hopes for Beterbiev, who looks like a great prospect, and wouldn't want to sour their relationship by refusing to allow a fight that Artur really wanted. He may also have faith in Beterbiev's ability to win those 3 title belts from Kovalev, which would be a tremendous boost for Haymon's brand.

That's the purse bid trick I was referring to.
They waited 2+ years to fight Mohammedi FFS. Come on.

        That's not a trick, that's a counter move. Perfectly fine. Kathy being ****** doesn't make Haymon/Michel nefarious.

Seriously you guys need to just admit that Kathy/Kov didn't think this through and made a tactical mistake. She could have either let the fight go to SHO in 2014 or advised Kov not to sign the HBO deal until after he fought Adonis.

Duva needs to step aside and let KOV beat that PIMP on Haymon's dime......

You gotta gamble big to win Big. KOV taking that last belt will Put Duva and HBO in better position in the future.

Stop with this lie about the purse bid sham from Haymon that Kovalev was a free agent. He wasn't he was right smack in the middle of signing a extension and HBO had last fight rights. He was an HBO fighter and Haymon knew this and wanted to force the purse bid for a fight that wasn't going to happen unless it was on HBO. This idea that Kovalev was going to fight on PBC and damage his relationships with HBO and flush his multi fight deal down the drain is idiotic. And that's assuming that HBO doesn't block the fight from happening in the first place. When the new contract was officially released is semantics because it was widely reported the new deal was coming and they were just finishing the final details to rip that up just because Haymon says so is foolish. Especially when according to everyone all these PBC guys are network free agents then he should have no problem fighting on HBO.

HBO which built up both fighters and had a deal for them to fight on HBO almost 2 years ago. It was done then Stevenson signs to Haymon and all a sudden you have one joke excuse after the next from the Stevenson camp with Haymon blocking the fight. Now you want HBO who still has Kovalev to let that fight happen on another network? HBO will never let this happen and shouldn't. Stevenson is a free agent he should have no problem fighting on HBO. Haymon is really great for boxing though? advises his fighter to pass on a shot to fight for the title now so he can fight a bum instead and then try and force a purse bid to avoid the fight and get him vacated? Meanwhile these 2 fighters (Beterbiev and Stevenson) aint fighting each other on PBC either. Why is that again?

No matter how many times people keep pointing how that was impossible you keep trotting that BS out there. There is no world where HBO was going to let the fight happen and damn sure wasn't going to embrace Kov back with open arms if it did. He was a HBO guy who had 1 foot in a multi fight extension. Only option was to totally damage the relationship with HBO and walk out with no assurance that A they would let him and B that he would ever see that multi fight contract again. And Haymon knew this which is why the purse bid was a tactical move and a sham.

When any Haymon fighters come with the same things like "damage relationship" , "network contracts" and any other business stuff, the whole forum jump at their throat because "they are cowards who rather care about business than the sport itself" and similar bullshits. But if Haymon's side wants to play by the rules (which would be the agreement or pursue bid) you all go in full defense mode and you blame the Haymon side because it wants to play by the legal rules instead of just let HBO win.

I guess, the moral of the story is whatever what's happening, somehow it's always the fault of Haymon and the other is the good guy.

He wants pursue bid? He wants to ply by the actual rules? How he dares? He should just let HBO showcase the fight! smh @ these Haymon affiliated guys...
