Floyd deserves his pick. I can't find fault with this fight. Are there better fights out there? Absolutely!

I thoroughly appreciate both fighters. But come to the defense of either fighter and you're labeled. Both guys have done what every fighter of every other era has.........take the occasional easy fight.

That's not uncommon nor is it a bad way to go out when you're pushing 39......
Lol the guy I was responding to was hardly being objective suggesting that I needed excuses for Pacquiao taking easy fights after I criticized the fight (despite not even mentioning Pac's name).

You see it over and over again and yeah fair play both ways, where 1 is criticized and some dummy has to go waaaaaaah the other one did it/worse.

It's a ******ed defense anyway... "Floyd can fight someone **** because Pacquiao has" or vice-versa.

I'm not asking for him to face the biggest killer out there every time, but Andre Berto ffs.... he's 3-3 in his last 6 against less than great opposition.

Asking the p4p no1 and face of boxing who only fights twice a year to face at least top 10 opposition isn't exactly demanding. Especially when he's taking a huge fee for it that could be better spent on supporting good fights.

I have no problem with your specific argument. But at the same time, let's assume for a minute this is his last fight........nobody at WW can compete.....Showtime has made plenty......there have been plenty of P4P #1's that have fought less than top ten opposition. In fact, I can't think of one that didn't while they were #1. And as far back as the 70's the cream of the crop has only fought twice a year....

I absolutely won't pay for it.......I'll look for a stream or watch the replay. But one thing I can certainly agree with you about is that for $30 mil, he should do something to give back to boxing besides put it in his pocket it after he made almost 250 mil for mild sparring......

        His money though.......and his right.

But Pac fans are constantly throwing level of opposition at Mayweather and vice-versa. At this point, Floyd has the overall better career resume, Pacquiao the more exciting fights. But the comparisons should have stopped pretty much after the first round.........it was clear who the better fighter was.

I don't mind his choice. His risk. His show. That doesn't mean I don't prefer a little suspense and here there is none.......which is why my money will stay in my pocket the same way it did on Pac vs Rios and Pac vs Algieri.......

I'm glad I don't like watching either fighter. I'm saving that money!

You would be insane to pay for this kind of fight. Complete mismatch. Considering that Mayweather has only been tested a handful of times his entire career, you would think he would pick someone who fans would consider dangerous to his 0. I could think of 5 other fighters off the top of my head that would've made more sense than Berto!

While that may very well be true, aren't there a handful of fighters who would put up a better fight than Berto? Hell give me 2 or 3 months. I'll come in at 147 and fight him if it doesn't matter who he fights. Put someone in who will make the fight at least a little bit interesting.

what a frickin joke. at least fight someone decent for your last fight!!!!

floyd like always taking the easy way out. he waits until threats are past their prime before he fights them (e.g. cotto, pacquiao, mosley, etc.), and now he chooses the EASIEST OPPONENT YOU CAN CHERRY PICK!!!!!!!!!!!

this is worse than garcia vs salka! WORSEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

floyd is a frickin fraud. he never beat any top fighters in their prime, and he constantly cherry picks.

Well you actually have to prove it...

Everyone was also in agreement that Tyson batters Buster.
