And if nobody buys........Showtime will still come out WAY ahead in their 6-fight deal. That's why he's fighting Berto as he pushes 39 instead of the 25-27 year old age bracket. And after what I saw with Khan vs Algieri, I don't think Khan deserves the fight considering he's done nothing but coast to UD's against a bunch of guys that are washed-up or feather-fisted. ALGIERI ARGUABLY BEAT KHAN!!!
so what did Berto do to deserve this fight since Khan didn't deserve this? this is the same guy that folded to Victor Ortiz of all people

Why does everyone capable of being objective about either fighter get immediately labeled a nuthugger of the other?

I thoroughly appreciate both fighters. But come to the defense of either fighter and you're labeled. Both guys have done what every fighter of every other era has.........take the occasional easy fight.

That's not uncommon nor is it a bad way to go out when you're pushing 39......

i still think pacquiao vs rios is worst than this. . is berto a top 5 welter ?no, but floyd would make every top welter look mediocre. the guy is too good for this generation, not his fault.
I agree..........there's no WW I'm really excited to see him fight. If there was one guy it would be Andrade at 154 but he's still a kid.

And it's not as if Berto has amassed a pile of losses. He has 3. And vs Ortiz, he didn't even have a bad night. He just caught Ortiz when Ortiz was having an EXTREMELY good night.........same could be said of Guerrero.

And Soto Karass, despite his record is a bad-ass.........level A? No. But's he's a tough bastid.......three losses that, to me at least, are not worse than, oh, say Khan for example? Prescott, Garcia and Peterson........KO'd in two of them........Berto went the distance in two great fights and dropped Ortiz a couple times..........not saying he'd beat Garcia. But he'd beat Peterson and I highly doubt Garcia KO's him........just sayin'.......

neither khan or berto did anything to earn this fight if u want to take that route khan has beat collazo and algirie (really lost) since moving up to 147.

Loses are of no consequence. The Lineal title was on the line and he won......

Khan has done NOTHING impressive at WW unless you want to count a jabbing contest with a shorter, powerless fighter he still wouldn't mix it up with (Alexander).

If Khan wanted this fight, he'd have steamrolled some real guys. He didn't. He hasn't done anything to impress me since Garcia knocked him out. 'Deserves'?

Brook deserves it more. Let Khan beat him or ANY WW that can actually punch or isn't shot.........he won't chance it. Simple. And honestly I'd rather watch Berto than Khan as of late......

What a joke. Worst part about it is that it's on PPV. Might as well have fought a rematch with Zab Judah!
