If a fgither beats the count and is steady on their feet, then I like to see the ref make the fighter take a step towards them and ask them a question before deciding to stop it. That's my personal opinion. I'm not really sure what part is confusing you. It's a relatively simple concept.

If you did see this fight, and remember the preceeding rounds, this was more than enough grounds for a stoppage. Guys get up at 5 and are waived off. It's the reff's call and it was definatly the correct one under the circumstances.

Your logic contradicts stoppages that happen weekly.

The ref is there to make the call using his judgemnt, and in the end this was absolutely the right call. End of story.

Didn't Sergei have a reaction to a vitamin shot given to him before the fight?

Yes, he had the flu, on top of that they gave him a b-12 shot I think it was to help temporarily relieve the symptoms so he can fight, and it just made it worse.

Man this is just bozo mad again just ignore this guy he bashes any Russian/slavic/white fighter out there.

lol, you're just angry because you hug the nuts of some ****ty fighters. I have nothing agaisnt Eastern Euro fighters. Some of your nut hugging friends like to play the race card because I think the Klitschkos are all hype and Maskaev sucks. That's 3 fighters.

You just don't like this thread because you're at the far opposit extreme. You can't deal with anything negative about fighters you hug the nuts of.

This was not seen by a lot of people, and when I saw it I thought I'd post it here.

You're sore because it upsets you. Grow up.

Right so out of all his fights you choose to post that KO of him 3 days after his victory over Brewster, nice try. In any case, a win is a win but all I simply did was post the circumstances surrounding the loss.

Lyakovich is down for 8 seconds at the most on my count there. There is no way he didn't beat the count, which is what the referee indicates.

Now that Sergei has a title, Harris' comeback should gain a little "mo"mentum

Well I don't know I haven't watched the video yet, is it full fight or just the knockdown? Maybe he wasn't doing to well the entire fight so the ref decided to stop it. In any case he was sick during the fight so it was probably best to stop it anyway.
