I dont even know why Jay Z got involved in a business as messy and corrupt as boxing. Not like he needs the money.. Big fan of his but he's been slippin lately. Getting involved in boxing and invested 60+ million into Tidal, a company that was doomed from jump.

Wrong under one banner you see the garbage PBC is putting out. It will only be worse. Haymon is not letting any of his own top fighters fight each other. Fights that have no politics in the way are still not happening.Comment

I believe some of what Boo Boo is saying. I think Roc Nation had interest in him hell we see that last year they tried to get everyone Broner came out blasting them saying they were offering him a deal despite knowing he was signed with Haymon.
But ultimately this comes down to bad management and advice for turning down a real deal on a contract to fight for a handshake verbal agreement paymwnt part of another verbal agreement for a long term deal. Boo Boo got fools giving him advice. Should of made Roc Nation put a deal on paper before you turned down the fight. People back out of verbal deals and promises during negotiations all the time. Cotto gave a verbal agreement to Bob Arum and backed out. Jordan had a verbal agreement to sign with the Dallas Mavericks and backed out and signed with the Clippers. I think what happened is Roc Nation was interested but as negotations went on Boo Boo wanted too much money or became a pain in @ss to deal with so they backed out. don't think this lawsuit goes anywhere.Last edited by bigdunny1; 07-31-2015, 07:34 AM.Comment

And one banner will happen at some point when fans get bored enough with the status quo & the money declines enough for the people involved in boxing to actually make changes. If it isn't PBC it'll be someone else further down the line.Comment

Don't know why they are suing for 10 million when they haven't made 10 million off Boo Boo in his whole career. The most they might get is the 550,000 and all that should go to Andrade. Should've just taken the fight. You beat Charlo, that's a good dub, sets you up for a bigger payday later, and you get 550,000. That's what happens when you try to get a free meal instead of killing what you eat.Comment

From the outside it looks like chaos, and a lot of guys think they can make hay in such a disorganised business with the savvy and experience they've gathered in previous ventures. Not quite that simple once they're in it.Comment

Advertising is done months in advance. You let the cream of your fighters rise to the top, then they fight one another when you have a chance to actually monetize it off of real advertising. I guess you wanted a PPV level fight every weekend like getting at HBO (sarcasm)Comment

wrong. If it were under 1 banner, with no competition, then what would happen is Andrade would have been told "youre fighting Charlo for $25 grand, or sit for a year. your choice".
But business competition aside, this whole thing falls on Andrades team. They agreed to deals they couldnt legally make, and they let someone dangling a nickel in front of them take their eyes off the prize, because they were already under contract. What they SHOULD have said to Roc was "buy our paper from Star, and THEN we'll talk".
But they didnt........
You can only step on toes for so long before someone strikes out at you. If they really wanted Andrade, they should've offered to buyout his contract like they did with Andre Ward.Comment
