The only people hyping Lemieux are Golovkin fans. Him having a title doesn't fool anyone, he's no better than Murray in quality.

As selected by The Ring magazine Ratings Panel online through results of Dec 31, 2014 (Aka after Pac, Before Khan):

Like I said, he was dropped out of the 140lb ratings because he was no longer considered a 140lb fighter. And that didn't happen until well after the Pacquiao fight ended, when Algieri announced a fight at 147. I know with confidence that when I checked The Ring ratings during the period after Chris Algieri fought Pacquiao and before he announced his fight with Amir Khan, he was absolutely in the top 10. Losing to Pacquiao doesn't make you a bum, bro.
Whatever the reason why he was dropped was, he was not in the top 10 at JWW or WW when Khan fought him. That's all I remember. It's not an opinion of mine.

But not when they were in discussions to make the fight happen. When the fight was announced, BoxRec and The Ring reacted to that announcement to mean that Algieri was now a 147 fighter and removed that ranking. I feel like it's dishonest to ignore that when Khan made the pick Algieri was a top 10 140lber, according to the ratings anyway. A loss or time off didn't remove him from the rankings, surely you understand the significance of this.

Not a comparison, but you knew what I meant.

Alcine was a former World champion and it was a close decision.

Your existence on his forum right now can be summed up as a big L.

That was not an opinion of mine. Chris Algieri was not a top 10 ranked JWW or WW when Khan fought him, in any top 10 rankings, Ring, ESPN, Boxingscene, etc. That is a fact. If you are not a top 10 contender, you are not seen as a top fighter. Unless it's a circumstance like Ward, who isn't ranked as a top 10 fighter due to inactivity, or Mayhweather in in his comeback 2009 fight where he was unranked due to inactivity.
Algieri was in negotiations with Crawford to go back and fight for his old belt at 140lbs until he got the call to fight Khan. So, there is that.

Yeah, so it would be Rosado all over again in regards to credit and rightfully so.

Lara should at least get 1 fight at MW if he is that serious.

Its not necessarily the hype or Lemieux's skill.

Golvokin's team has been talking about unifying the Middleweight division. That's been the primary goal.

No I don't know. Those fighters all went on to redeem themselves in a major way whereas LePew has done what? Beat N'dam?

Alcine is ****. Absolutely awful....didn't Macklin clean him out in 1 round the next fight?

You've taken an absolute battering in this thread and not just by me for a change lol. You must have not thought this through. Just a jealous rage thread to have a dig at "Froch fans"

And that's honestly the only reason this fight means a damn.
