Oh shoot I could swear Algieri was top 10 at 140 according to The Ring and Boxrec after the Pacquiao fight but before the Amir Khan fight was announced but not sure how to check that. When he announced yet another fight at 147, I think that's when he was removed from 140lb rankings. Not 100% sure about this though.
He wasn't ranked at all going in to the Prov fight, then the Prov win got him 140 top 10 barely, the lower tier. The Pac fight dropped him out of the top 10 at 140.

Edit: No credit for taking on a raw punching World champion in a unification, yet they want him to fight Lara, a LMW who has 0 bouts at MW. When was the last time Mayweather not a favorite to win a fight? Does he not get full credit for his resume?
Note: Many of these will be Froch fans.
GGG's team ducked the Lara fight. They said no.

Take the L and move on. This was a major backfire.

Might as well make a thread saying "Excuses people will have if Danny Garcia wins this weekend?"

Most fighters would be the underdog vs Golovkin, but it doesn't mean people should make excuses to discredit wins. This proposes a good test in terms of his ability to respond to constant pressure and firepower.
Lemieux beat N-dam, who's a good boxer with a massive heart. He's no world beater but he's a good, strong middleweight who's on a win streak.Last edited by T18Z; 07-29-2015, 07:19 PM.
