How is that an example of double standards?

Wow...you keep digging a bigger hole. I told you to wave the white flag a long time ago. You must be glutton for punishment.

I assume a GGG/Canelo fight would be satisfactory, right?

He hasn't fought at full MW limit. Not even close. Canelo was at 155. A pound over LMW. I'm okay with it, but many of the same people that are so pushing for the fight (I'm not referring to you) would say "oh uhh he beat an inflated LMW".

Sanders and Singsurat were World title fights and were far from "early" losses.

When you were high on Khan you defended Prescott by equating it to those events/fighters. Anyways, I've already explained this we all know your sad routine.

        Keep trying hard.

He would be an inflated LMW that would be a far greater win than anyone else at 160, including Lemieux. The same would apply to Cotto/Canelo. The point is facing elite opposition.

You're just trying too hard. Give it a rest.
I equated them because they were early career losses which became irrelevant over time, not because Prescott was actually good.

The whole crux of my point was that top fighters have lost to lesser fighters in the past.

So you fail on every conceivable level yet again.

Exactly. Lara is simply a better fighter. So is Canelo. I'd give Golovkin far more credit for beating either of them than LePew.

Box-Office has had an absolute nightmare in here.

Wlad fought him in his 42nd fight. Pacquiao in his 28th. Both were World title bouts. Early? Let it go.

If that was the "crux", why exactly are you mocking him for it now? I thought your whole disdain was based on the Brook affair. You've basically taken a 180.

What are you talking about? This thread is about making excuses if Golovkin beats Lemieux, who he is going to be a huge favorite over. Why would people make excuses why Golovkin beats Lemieux when damn near everyone is going to expect him to beat Lemieux? People make excuses when the fighter they didn't think would win wins. See: Garcia/Matthysse, Herrera/Garcia, Marquez/Pacquiao and such.

No one is going to be like, "Well, the outcome me and 90% of the boxing world expected happened, I better go make excuses now!"

Is this the Khantard logic of saying that the clear favourite in a fight is actually the underdog? Or a "champion" is someone who gets knocked out and then avoids all threats?

Pepe Le Pew IS an inexperienced champion. How is that an excuse and not just a fact?
Kell Brook has fought nothing but bums, Floyd Mayweather is ducking the true man of the welterweight division King Amir Khan.
